Sarah Palin 2016: Former Alaska Governor Laying Groundwork For Possible Presidential Run

Sarah Palin may be once again dreaming of the White House and a run for the presidency in 2016.

After a long absence from the political arena, Palin appears to be strategically increasing her appearances and speeches while also taking solid aim at President Obama. This has led many political experts to conclude that she is aiming to enter the 2016 presidential race, or at least is trying to test the waters for a potential run.

The rumors kicked up a bit this week when a spokesman for the Rev. Billy Graham announced that Sarah Palin will be a guest for the reverend’s 95th birthday. Graham still carries great political sway, so much in fact that Mitt Romney carved out time to meet with Graham in the final days of the 2012 presidential race in the hopes of earning a public endorsement and assuring conservative voters.

Graham’s birthday celebration is also drawing other big names in the conservative world, including real estate mogul Donald Trump.

Sarah Palin has also taken her political tour to Iowa, one of the most important states for Republican hopefuls. On November 9 Palin is slated to speak at the annual banquet for the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition, an important conservative and evangelical group.

After spending a long stretch away from the spotlight, Palin is also ramping up her political attacks on President Obama in what could be the groundwork for her 2016 platform.

In a Facebook post entitled “Obama’s Debt Default is on His Shoulders While We Shoulder His Impeachable Offenses,” she placed the blame for the debt limit fight solely on Obama’s shoulders.

“Defaulting on our national debt is an impeachable offense, and any attempt by President Obama to unilaterally raise the debt limit without Congress is also an impeachable offense,” Palin wrote.

If Sarah Palin is planning a 2016 presidential run, she will have even more ammunition to boost her resume in the coming weeks. On November 12, three days after her planned speech in Iowa, Palin will be released a book taking on the conservative-friendly topic of the War on Christmas.

Pain promises that in the book — titled Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas — she will “tell you how to fight back against those politically correct Scrooges who seem to hate not just a beautiful holiday, but an entire faith.”

Sarah Palin is still a long way from an official 2016 presidential run, however, and likely wouldn’t declare any intention to run for several months.

Bad enough that we will get screwed.

Even worse when they have syphilis.

Fine. Argue about the details and the liberal skit. The fact is she said you could see Russia from Alaska in response to a foreign policy question, as if living in Alaska made one a natural genius on the subject.

If Hillary is the Democrat nominee, Sarah may actually be a good choice. She certainly would be brave enough to say the things that need to be said.

I like her and I would vote for her. I am not saying she can’t win.

However....when she yells to a crowd her voice is a like a screeching naggy annoyance. Personally I think it is a big hinderance.....

They’re both too smart to go up against each other

I would have a hard time believing they would not share strategies with one another, or that they would do anything that wouldn't foster a common agenda that forwards their shared conservative vision.

They want to reset America, put it back to where it has a chance to be great again. We're lucky to have two such candidates, I look forward to them working together and believe they will.

I’ve said she is our only choice for 5 years and I still maintain that she’s the only choice we have.

She will destroy Hillary!

No thanks. If you knew the mess she made of oil and gas exploration in Alaska, you wouldn't be so enthusiastic.

Perhaps not approving the Keystone pipeline suits you much better.

What is it with the ignorance you are displaying? Are you really this dumb, or are you just a troll?

The Alaskan Governor (and just in case you didn't know, that's what she was) was the ONLY OTHER PERSON besides the president to receive a daily security briefing. It was because of their strategic positioning vis a vis *ahem* Russia (aka the Soviet Union) geographically and their defensive capabilities in our plans to deal with unwanted aggression from that country.

She explained that in her answer, quite well actually. You are the one who is giving the SNL skit info and you ought to be ashamed of your own ignorance, spreading the same leftist propaganda that undermines reality in the most malicious of ways.

Congrats on your accepting of the SNL version straight from David Axelrod.

Neither she, or Cruz will get the support from the republican party moderates in the leadership...It will never happen...

Some will focus group the crap out of this senario, and find out that even though there is support from the voters (the base) for this ticket, other campaigns will be developed, and supported, by the very forces that do not want a ticket(s) like this to manifest themselves...

Therefore the appearance of “teasing” the base to be used by the elites and leadership to give their preferences a boost, or be energized for 2016...

In which we will lose again...

I for one, would not want them to waste theier time plaing thos game with the very problem we need to rid ourselves in 2014...

If we can win and maintain a larger majority in the House, and get back the Senate...

Whatever is thrown at us in 2015/16 will not really matter for the WH this time...It will be a lameduck presidency from the start...And that will damage the democrat party in a way which is more long term, than wasting our time on a political ideology that is beating us hands down with a complicite media to help the moderates and feckless leadership in the republican party...

I only see a politically viable situation for the republicans to regain the WH, in a practical manner, after the next couple of cycles, and not anywhere before 2020...

I would not want to waste our bullpen, on a political and social environment these days, until the democrats are practically, and sensibly given a bloody nose before that time...

I say lets absolutely allow the republican elites to run Christie as the nominee for 2016...He will never poll or win against Hillary, and he will once again lose because of the very forces which have screwed us over for the last two presidential election cycles...This will damage the elites, once again...

We might very well start cleaning up the toilet bowl because of the senario...

Just my opinion...

Tell me when the republican party elites have ever fielded a proven “conservative” presidential candidate in the last 20 years???

McCain??? Romney??? Bush I??? Bush II??? Dole???

Not trying to bust yer chops personally, not my intent...

Just trying to avoid the same ‘ole problem that got us into the current mess we are in now...

I say it is going to take a revolutionary approach to rope these dopes, and it will not be the perfect time to strike, until 2020, at the earliest...

IMHO...

What do you believe will remain of the USA if democrats remain in power for 7 more years?

Bless you.

I sometimes feel on this forum that if you aren’t an unabashed Palin worshipper, you’re lumped un with the loathsome people who so unfairly slimed her.

She’s a good woman. She believes all the right things. She was, from all I can tell, a pretty good Governor.

But for admittedly mostly unfair reasons, she’s toxic and can never, ever be elected president.

Only a conservative with an exceptional ability to explain conservatism from a real depth of philosophical understanding can hope to bypass the MSM and make our case to the American people. THAT’S why I think Newt, for all his other flaws, would have had a better shot at beating President Filth than Romney.

Cruz fills that bill. Rand might as well.

Sarah just doesn’t.

Hank

I am on record here as supporting the construction of the Keystone pipeline. So if you need to invent something to have a criticism, I'll consider the output of your fevered imagination with all the seriousness it is due.

After Palin's speech at the RNC, I was a big fan too. Then I looked into her record and not so much. She's a lightweight dealing in a string of feel-good platitudes, not a serious thinker as Reagan was. She may be intelligent, but she has done nothing I've seen to correct her clearly deficient education. No thanks. I'd rather have Cruz.

Geezuss

Is this gonna be an or else moment around here again

I for one have had enough of freeper wolf pack behavior

Any candidate should be open to criticism

I’m not lock stepping again for anyone like a zombie

Nor will I support GOP for jack

Truth is....they are the real enemy...let’s be honest

We have to purge them before we can take on the left
