I quite buying those kinds of magazines years ago. They are nothing more than a gun maker paid advertisement.
I don’t know how many articles I’ve seen on the Keltec KSG only to find out you cannot buy the damned thing ANYWHERE! The same goes for their PMR-30. VAPORWARE in my book, and a lot of these gun mags get paid to support it.
That said, the writer is a fool who has given up on asserting his rights and finds it much easier to go-along/get-along and appease the gun grabber nuts with his misinterpretation. There is no part of “....shall not be infringed” that can be interpreted as being subject to regulation.

I only buy those magazines that have articles by Massad Ayoob; I do like his information about self defense.
As for your VAPORWARE comment..LOL How true. It took us 3 years to find one PMR-30, and got that only because I walked in right behind the UPS guy. The only other ones we have seen have been at gun shows for about $750. Sorry, while a nice pistol, it ain’t that damn good!!!
I grew up with American Rifleman as my Dad showed me the many pleasures and freedoms that were associated with the 1950's and 1960s NRA which was not deemed an anarchist organization by the government of the day.
I have handled and shot both the KSG and PMR. Definitely not vaporware, though they sell out fast when shipments arrive at the local gun shops.
Gunbroker.com has over 100 ksg shotguns and over 100 pmr pistols listed for immediate sale. Vaporware it is not. Doesn’t change the fact the guns and ammo is a worthless magazine. I will grant you that.
