Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies on the hill, Wednesday, concerning healthcare.govs problems since its October 1 rollout. Shell answer questions before the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
This is the committees second hearing related to the website problems. Last week, four government contractors hired to help build the site testified. Tuesday, Marilyn Tavener, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, appeared before the Ways & Means Committee.
CMS is responsible for setting up the federal marketplace for insurance exchanges and the Medicaid expansion. Rep. Fred Upton chairs the committee and Rep. Henry Waxman serves as Ranking Member.
You are right. Every GOP questioner should be focusing on one thing, SECURITY.
“I was not involved...”
Sebelius with the “I knew nothing” excuse.
Goal seems to be collapse into single payer system. Make private insurance unaffordable with dictated HHS regulation , thus eliminate private insurance ...another industry sector and large % of economy taken over.
Same here.
Glenn Beck said she was prepared for this by the best make up artists, wardrobe peeps, speech/acting coaches, etc that our tax dollars can buy. Disgusting.
Burgess/TX is on track.
Oh no, they know once the first people are enrolled, there is no going back. It’s kind of like parachuting from a plane, once out the door, there is one option, you pull the cord, if it doesn’t work.....oh well.
“Maybe they should offer a free subscription to LifeLock with every person who accesses the site.”
HA!
They do not even CARE that people’s data are transmitted around their system without security. Otherwise they would shut it down immediately if not sooner until the people’s data are secure.
??? Throwing people off their current insurance when Obama promised not to is the most important implementation issue.
The broken website is useful to emphasize that problem but little more.
GOP congressman in hearing are spending too much time on website and not enough on insurance cancelations.

Agree but would still like to hear one more website related question: How is Verizon being paid for their additional work, what procurement vehicle was used, and how was it awarded?
Do you think a person who was willing to let a little girl die instead of getting her on a transplant list cares if someone has money for food and clothing at the end of the month?
Utopiacare, the best nirvana can buy.
Try using that excuse with your own boss. Nobody in the private sector could get away with acting like they were completely uninformed about something they were responsible for.

We all want those questions answered as well. Those are important - and some congress members are asking those questions.
So far - no reasonable answer from HHS on this, evading questions.

$400,000,000!
Sounds good. But See #209
“CNN website said the website was hacked.” She shook her head. (Look out CNN. You will be getting a call about that!)
Good guy here....love him!
“you are wasting my time”......
I dont have that information with me . I will have to get back to you...
