Bill Clinton blasts GOP over Obamacare

HAMPTON, Va. — Bill Clinton expressed confidence Sunday that the Obamacare web site problems will get fixed soon, and he lit into Republicans for being so critical of the law’s implementation.

“The computer deal will get fixed up. Don’t worry about that,” he said at a nighttime rally here for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe, his third stop of the day.

The former president then recalled the problems implementing the now-popular Medicare Part D in 2006.

“Everybody’s forgotten, by the way, that when President George W. Bush and the Republicans put that Medicare Part D drug program in, it was more unpopular than the health care law and they had terrible problems with the computers,” he said. “Some seniors couldn’t even get medicine they had been getting, and the local pharmacists basically got together and made sure they stayed alive until the computers got fixed.”

Medicare Part D had some Democratic support, in contrast to the Affordable Care Act, which attracted no Republican support.

“But our side, we’re not so ideological,” said Clinton. “So, instead of bashing them and screaming about how incompetent they were, most of our people just tried to help people understand the law and make it work and then wait for it to get fixed.”

He tried to link it to a broader criticism of McAuliffe’s Republican opponent.

“There’s a big difference in being an ideologue and being practical,” said Clinton, “putting people first as opposed to some abstract philosophy first.”

How sweet it would be to tie, in the minds of the Low Information Voter, the Democrats who voted for Nationalizing 1/6 th of the US Economy to this Democrat Cash Cow, Mandatory Insurance Tax Law!

Link Democrats to Obama’care,’ and maybe the Low Information voter will remember that it was the Democrats that wrote it, voted for it, and then it was Democrat Reid shut down the US Federal Government in 2013 to keep it from being defunded by cowardly, Cave-In, Congressional RINOs.

The Democrats have wanted this ultimate-control, Marxist Law for nearly 100 years, and now that the Democrats have rammed it down our throats we Conservatives must see to it that the Democrats are clearly held responsible for the great harm that this failed Law has already done to America.

Clinton posturing is understandable---if he sucks-up bigtime, he's been promised a bigger chunk of the O/CARE trillions....if and WHEN they star rolling in (cackle).

Mrs O wore her pricey diamond bangles (bought on a govt salary?) at a Texas DNC fund-raiser, attended by "tolerant and compassionate" Dems....raising big bucks to keep Mr O in office so he could work for "the poor."

Mrs O's diamond Gothic cuff was priced at $15,350 set with 2.17 carats in diamonds and the Quatrefoil bracelet at $11,800 set with 1.73 carats in diamonds.

HI THERE, VA VOTERS, did you know Freddie Mac is located in (drum roll, please) McLean, Virginia (Terry's hometown)?

Fannie Mae is located in Wash, DC.....and both are very troubling quasi govt agencies subsidized and bailed out by taxpayers.

Obama's July speech on the US economy spelled out the beginning of the end for federally-controlled mortgage buyers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. “We’ll work with both parties to turn the page on Fannie and Freddie, and build a housing finance system that’s rock-solid for future generations,” Obama said, according to a copy of his prepared remarks.
