CBS releasing this information now does little to harm Obama, but does a lot to allow CBS to beat its chest and loudly crow about the great "investigative journalists" they are.

It was clear Benghazi was a disaster and we were being lied to (about the video) last year during the presidential debates. Yet Romney the pathetic fool let Obama off the hook. He first stupidly made the issue whether or not Obama called it a terrorist attack - a minor issue, and got blitzed by (Gimme Mo) Candy Crowley. Then he was so scared by that exchange that he insanely said NOTHING about Benghazi in the 3rd - foreign policy! - debate. I will never forgive Romney for this cowardice, and never forgive the GOPe for forcing him upon us.

So ... high level diplomatic and Foreign Service Officers in Libya knew Al Qaeda was planning an attack, and had requested profile changes and additional security assets, and these officers requested back-up during what was obviously a well-planned assault on the US compounds, and their requests were denied.
Meanwhile, Obama, Clinton, Rice, et al lie and lie and lie for weeks with some bullshit story about an unorganized protest over a YouTube video, when they had to know damn well that this was a planned Al Qaeda attack on 9/11.
