The Food and Drug Administration is recommending new restrictions on prescription medicines containing hydrocodone, the highly addictive painkiller that has grown into the most widely prescribed drug in the U.S.
In a major policy shift, the agency said in an online notice Thursday that hydrocodone-containing drugs should be subject to the same restrictions as other narcotic drugs like oxycodone and morphine.

ObamaCare intends to dismantle ALL health care and healthcare insurance. It is the what the communists do. It is all about control.

I don't see in my copy of the Constitution where authority was given to the federal government to regulate drugs.

I have taken Hydrocodone as prescribed and I don’t see where it does a helluva lot for pain.

The liberals won’t be happy until they micro-manage the smallest details of our daily existence.
Soon there will be a directive on how many times a day we can flush.

I'm confused here...a few years back Osama Obama announced that the cornerstone of Obamacare would, apart from forbidding doctors to amputate limbs for profit,be that “maybe you're better off not having the surgery but taking the pain killer”.

What’s their worry, there is so little actual hydrocodone in a vicodin that you would shortly end up killing yourself by the acetaminophen damaging your liver with the large doses you would need to get high. I know this from the thirty years experience I had taking vicodin for migraines, and funny I never got addicted.

This is dumb, you can buy this stuff over the counter in most countries.
This was the one pain killer my doctor didn’t require me to go to his office to prescribe, everything else requires me to take a 45 min ride to his office so he can hand me a physical prescription.
How can Obamacare trust these massive databases but these same guys want to require physical prescriptions?

I have taken Hydrocodone as prescribed and I dont see where it does a helluva lot for pain. I've taken a narcotic analgesic once in my life...after my hip replacement. When he was discharging me I told the doctor that I wasn't a fan of narcotics and I'd rather take something like Motrin instead. He emphatically advised me to take the narcotic for at least a few days, otherwise there'd be a crescendo of pain (my words, can't recall exactly how *he* put it).I took them for 5 days, then flushed the rest down the toilet and did reasonably well with Motrin thereafter.

Ridiculous. Eventually there will be NO pain killers left for people who really need it. Every doctor I know is scared to death to even write this script because of the Obama FDA Nazi Assault Squads that will breakdown their doors
