I didn’t know these types of car washes were allowed anywhere anymore.

Besides the soap runoff problem - they also waste water. My city has banned these for many years now.

“I didn’t know these types of car washes were allowed anywhere anymore.”

Really? Around here they’re extremely common.

Some of the oldest translated text was “he took abundance from abundance and there was still abundance” Today, the anti-hum crowd fears the abundance of earth and lives lives of unhappiness.

I know the architect of the universe would not allow this and the creator, that started this planet spinning in a perfect spot in the universe to create what we have would never care about 1 or a million car washes.

It is the hubris of man and governments to play a God they do not understand and believe that he created will be here long after these people have gone and not enjoyed their time here.

Or haven’t you looked into that? Somebody pays for the water, the the soap is, by regulation, biodegradable and what is the problem?

One of the local high schools in the Houston suburbs had one last weekend which took place in the Sonic parking lot. I don’t buy from Sonic any more but did patronize them. Good way for kids to raise money - at least in parts of Texas kids are still allowed to do kid things which lets them be involved.

I don’t know why so many here are raging about sensible rules to keep lakes, rivers, and creeks clean. Our local economy has been severely impacted by our two major rivers being slowly killed by urban, and agricultural runoff, and ACE discharges from Lake Okeechobee. Fishing has in the past been a big business here. When major algae blooms and fish kills start happening because of changes to the water due to the runoff it matters. It is not just a “liberal” cause.

Caring about where you live and the resources that are a source of income for many is not being a Communist. It is caring about stewardship and the responsibility God gave us to care for and respect His creation.
