What elections are you referring to? Over the last few years would include 2010. Surely you're not referring to that election. Colorado recalls? I think not.

"50.1% of people will end up with “free healthcare”

Better go tell the people over at DU and KOS because they can't find anyone who will get it for free. They're all complaining about losing their plans and how much the deductibles are.

Amidst all the blather about Republicans going over the cliff and taking the world with them, a tantalizing bit of truth was spoken on today's Morning Joe. Doomsaying notwithstanding, the GOP is actually positioned to do OK in 2014." "Making the comment particularly surprising was its source: Barack Obama's former senior adviser himself—David Axelrod."

Then there is liberal Nate Silver who thinks we have a good chance of taking the Senate in 2014.

A race-by-race analysis of the Senate, in fact, suggests that Republicans might now be close to even-money to win control of the chamber after next year’s elections. Our best guess, after assigning probabilities of the likelihood of a G.O.P. pickup in each state, is that Republicans will end up with somewhere between 50 and 51 Senate seats after 2014, putting them right on the threshold of a majority.

I guess we'll have to wait and see but I feel pretty good about 2014.

Has anything convinced you that the Dems lost the House? It certainly doesn’t seem that way. Obama’s re-election showed just how desperate and ignorant voters are, and I don’t see Republicans doing anything constructive about that. They are talking at graduate school levels to voters with 8th grade diplomas.

“Better go tell the people over at DU and KOS because they can’t find anyone who will get it for free. They’re all complaining about losing their plans and how much the deductibles are.”

I’d imagine they are in income levels above $30K. All of those striking fast-food workers that want a raise? They aren’t on those websites, they aren’t on welfare/Medicaid, and they’re all going to get free health care from us.

“I guess we’ll have to wait and see but I feel pretty good about 2014.”

If people see the true impact of ObamaCare by election time, then the Repubs should do well; if not, then the media will continue convincing them things are great (despite their individual miseries).

LOL! They deserve to feel the pain of this tyrannical that they voted for.

I’m curious, what exactly do you see happening if indeed the Republicans “take” the Senate in 2014?

They aren’t going to get 60 seats. I think we can all agree there.

I don’t see anything changing at this point. Sure, there’s going to be a lot of rhetoric to fire up the base (on both sides) but for the Republicans the rhetorical speech will be (and already is) quite empty. I do not see an end game here that rids the nation of Obamacare. All this talk of “fighting” seems to me to be coming from people who simply refuse to accept the fact that it’s over.

Convince me I’m wrong. I’m absolutely willing to hear of a solid plan; not some empty rhetoric though along the likes of “we’re continuing the fight”. Because stuff like that, to me, just sounds like trying to get various campaigns off the ground (ie donations).

You have to consider the probable scenario, the left goes around moaning that they expect to lose control of both houses in 2014, this gives them a strange kind of “credibility”, then in the final days before November they say there is light on the horizon, they might just squeak out a win to keep the Senate. Then they put on the biggest vote fraud fiasco ever seen with electronic machines deleting R votes and replacing them with D votes.

On Jan 1 when the sheeple find out just how odious Obamacare really is (not just the premiums, but the high co-pays and deductibles - and what is not seen right now, the limited number of doctors that will take it), they 'might' remember that only the Republicans attempted to stop it. Maybe. I doubt it, given the short attention span of the sheeple, but .... maybe.

I don’t visit the liberal and homosexual sites but are most of them saying this health care crap is awful now or are they still in denial?
