Two quail hunters traveling near Prescott Valley, Arizona last Thursday were attacked by a bobcat. The unnamed hunters saw the adult bobcat scamper underneath their vehicle and were met with claws and teeth when they investigated. According to the Prescott Valley Tribune, the men suffered severe lacerations and puncture marks across their chest, arms, and back. The hunter who peeked underneath the car received the brunt of the assault and the cat turned on his companion when the other man tried to remove the animal. One of the hunters eventually shot and killed the bobcat.

Quick, someone call the Katzenjammer kids. This is the perfect White House Gift for Eid.
Or is it too late already?
Reminds me of the Jerry Clower story about going coon hunting with Marcel Ledbetter.
Jerry sent Marcel up into the tree to get the racoon to climb down. It wasn’t a racoon it was a bobcat, that started tearing strips off of Marcel.
Marcel: “Jerry, shoot this thing!”
Jerry: “I can’t Marcel, I might hit you!”
Marcel: “Shoot up here amongst us! One of us needs some relief!”
"Simple solution...no risk."
A few months ago I was walking in a park early AM here in Carrollton, Tx. and I spotted a bobcat in the grass about 75 yards away.
I pulled out my knife just in case but when it saw me it ran away like a scared putty cat-— just like a spineless RINO when a little Dem resistance is blown their direction.
When I was 10 some neighbors came home from hunting with a kitten they’d found in the woods. I said, “You can’t keep that, it’s a bobcat!” Well, what does a 10 year old know? In a couple of months it had wrecked their house and scratched h*ll out of them. They took it back to the woods. (It probably didn’t do well. But, on the other hand, it was so aggressive maybe it did. Who knows. But these idiots had to buy all new furniture.)
We have a cat that is part desert lynch. His name is Bob. He’s a bit wild but a total coward. Last night he was growling at out granddaughter who likes to shoot him with a water sprayer. Sure didn’t sound like a house cat. He totally loves me but he’s really stupid so I have a hard time loving him.
“He totally loves me but hes really stupid so I have a hard time loving him.”
He’s probably not stupid. He’s probably more wild than domesticated. My cat is so domesticated she has her own credit card. I have to keep her off Amazon.com and eBay.
hmmm. Interesting thought. I do love my part dingo dog, because of his wildness. I have never really loved cats with one exemption. I enjoy having one or two around because they are so beautiful and I respect them. The one I did love was my son’s and he was there for this son in all the ups and downs. He was also incredible smart. He could open doors and turn on faucets. He’s dead now. Buried at our farm. I miss him.
“The hunter who peeked underneath the car received the brunt of the assault and the cat turned on his companion when the other man tried to remove the animal”
There ain’t no cure for stupid. :-)
I live in an area where there are lots of woods full of wildlife: racoons, possums, foxes, armadillos, all kinds of critters. The county government takes these big bags of dry dog and cat food, inoculates them with rabies vaccine, and leaves them in the woods for the wild critters to eat. When it rains and the food rots, they just leave more of it out there. It must be working, because I see lots of wild critters and I’ve never seen a rabid one in my life.
I feel pretty sorry for your cat....gets shot with water by kids and can’t get love from his owner.
That is a beauty!
True story....my husband’s coworker and his wife ended up being adopted by a wild bobcat for a while. During thunderstorms, he would come up on the deck and bang on the door with his paw. They would open the door, he would shoot inside and hide under a bed, and when the storm was over, he’d saunter out and go back to the woods.
Is that really your bobcat? How is it around the house and surely you don’t let it outside do you?
“Hey kitty, kitty!”
Dead Kitty . . .
Why would you allow cruelty to your cat? What does that teach your granddaughter? That it's okay to bully and abuse something, or someone smaller than she?
Jails are full of people who started out that way.
