Wal-Mart stores in Springhill and Mansfield, La., saw a stampede and a shelf-clearing rush Saturday after a computer glitch for food stamp recipients led to benefit cards allowing unlimited purchases.
Police were called as entire shelves were being cleared out, until the glitch was fixed and low-income residents using the cards were no longer allowed to make purchases.

I think this was an Obama dry run
“stampede” is one word. “riot” and “looting” are more descriptive words for what happened.
“black Friday” Uh oh
I dunno. My guess is that it WAS a black Friday.
so...I take it the Walmart employees let all this stuff walk out the door on our dime between 7 and 9?
What choice did they have? If my credit card company removes the cap on my limit, how is it up to Walmart to decide to limit my purchases?
A stampede usually includes 4 hoofs and a tail, I’m not sure if that is true here or not? ;-)
Walmart still tracked the transactions so the amounts can possibly be deducted from future debits ?

There should be no question that a sizable portion of EBT is the moocher class. But, if there was any doubt, and there is among the LIV’s...
Compare with DC rallies, where Tea Partiers are respectful of the grounds and pick up after themselves. Place is spotless afterwards. After Occupy-er leftist rallies, pre-printed collectivist signs strewn about and garbage (no doubt the refuse of EBT purchases nearby).
Give a group of TP’ers EBT cards with no limit, and most, likewise, would notify the store, notify the EBT administrators, and typically not run up their bills.
Wonder how many iPads and 65 inch TVs were ‘bought’.....................
The “crack management staff” at Walmart saw what was going on and could have refused to honor these sales so let them suck up the potential loss.
“From 7 to 9 p.m., people were loading up their carts, but when the cards began showing limits again around 9...”
So exactly what does this mean? Does this mean that those who shopped (stole) for two hours prior to the correction, and checked out managed to take the groceries home?
EBT cards aren’t credit cards. They’re debit cards.
Try to spend a ‘no limit’ debit card and see what happens.
Once upon a time my bank had a glitch with their debit cards. Guess again if you think Kroger just let me take those groceries home on the honor system.
Being a decent (and apparently gullible) person I put all my items back though. I didn’t just leave the buggy full of stuff in the way in the front of the store.

Those Cosco agitators sure are busy with their cameras.
This story needs pictures and video. It sounds like the government inspired a black attack.
LSU Fans.
Depends on what part of the country you live in. I have lived in regions where the Hispanic underclass lived in spotless little shack-like dwellings in communities with doorsteps scrupulously swept and tidy little plots of marigolds growing in tiny little flower boxes on each side and areas where the Black underclass worked hard to welcome everyone to their cheerful but humble little churches and pot lucks and visited shut-ins and saw to it the elderly had drivers to take them to medical appointments.
With Obama’s divisiveness I have seen more commentary on FR implying that Black people are THE takers when I have personally witnessed scamming, lying, stealing anywhere communities are comprised of broken homes and indifference to the education and prospects of the children regardless of race. Obama - the great divider.
