On Saturday, at a little before 9:30 a.m., citizens determined to break through the barrycades around the Lincoln Memorial moved the government barricades aside and proceeded to enter the Memorial. According to Taylor Hemness from KLTV 7:
[The protesters] went completely up those steps, past the National Parks Service members who didnt do anything to stop them as they made their way up to the Lincoln monument asking people to come with them, begging them to make people in DC listen to what they were doing.

I’ve got some bootlicking jackass on another site suggesting that when our side (like usual) leave the place cleaner than it was when they arrived, that they start by throwing away Palin, Cruz and Lee.
And another saying how it’s ,”Funny “ that this didn’t happen when the memorials were closed during past government shut downs.
Jeez! These lefties are nuts!
No one escapes the Faggish Inquisition!
I love it.
Great Picture of Mount Barribachi
Good one! I've been trying to think of an appropriate handle for that picture all day.
I just call it the Øbongo Salute...
What a brilliant idea.....*We aren't stealing the Barrycades....jes movin' em for ya fellas.* ;)
Yeah, I know, but I was commenting on the nature of the photo. It is of that character.
Just a reminder for those prone to thinking it’s little more than a big party.
I don’t think that being a member of the park police is going to be a very safe job anymore.
Caligula enjoyed inflicting pain on Romans who refused to worship him as a god.
How did that work out for him?
So what? The Occupy Movement and many other subversive org supporters and celebrities have gone to jail for simple misdemeanors. Trespassing is a low level misdemeanor - it means little on your record.
So go to jail for a couple of hours for chaining ourselves (Vets mostly) together. You sit in a drunk tank (been there) until you make bail and later pay $200 or so in fines. It means nothing, but if enough Patriots did it, it would make the news.
Yes, I know that our kind have jobs. So join a protest on a weekend and call in sick on Monday if the local magistrate won't hear your case over the weekend.
Massive civil disobedience is our last hope before the shooting starts. I'm willing. In fact, I will start it if only I could find a dedicated group here in SoCal or elsewhere.
However, like I said in another thread, if the jackboots man-handled just one injured Veteran for moving a stupid 3 foot barrycade, I'll use my own money to go there and pitch such a bitch, it would get on TV. Doubt even Obambi or Holder have the balls to fight against Veterans. Other than their most ardent commie supporters, most would be outraged.
My bona fides. I'm a simple aviation Navy Veteran of 11 years (1975-1986). Let them dig up my dirt, I don't care. If Bill Clinton can get BJ's in the White House, my history is no worse.
It's time for us Veterans to make a statement while incurring the wrath of the authorities. Anyone here has the cojones to deal with it?
Oh please. The snipers on the roof are not going to shoot anyone who marches on the White House as long as they don't cross the fence. They are not political enforcers of marches/protests. There job is just keep the now Spite House safe.
BTW, while not endorsing such a confrontation, you must know that there are thousands of Vetern snipers/hunters out there. Hope it never comes to this. That's why encourage civil disobedience in massive numbers. What could the DC, Park, and Ranger police do? Probably hide like they did in the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles back when.
Also, we should look into where they live. I don't mean we should do anything illegal, but it would give them pause if their home addresses were made public. My home address is public, why shouldn't there's be?
All I am saying is that one needs to be prepared for the possibility that consequences may go beyond a night in the drunk tank and a small fine.
My experience is in the prolife rescue movement. When it began, rescuers were released on recognizance. Then, they were held until bail was posted (many refused). When rescuers refused to cooperate by refusing to walk away from the clinic doors, the police applied pain compliance.
In the courts, the punishment went from dismissal of charges, to conviction and release with time served, to heavy fines and jail time.
Finally, D.A.'s came after selected leaders with RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) charges.
My point is not to oppose or discourage direct action, including civil disobedience. I do caution that eyes need to be wide open. The power can and will come down hard, depending on the circumstances.
Also, it would be Jim's call, but we might want to consider if public discussion of this nature invites unwanted attention from the wrong people to this forum.
Matthew 10:15-17
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
