To all FReepers far and wide
I have been hearing here and there about DC Chapter members who will be in DC this Sunday for the Million Vets March.
Lets gather under my tall U.S.-Gadston flag. I am hoping to get there around 8AM
I will be making some signs. If anyone has a sign idea just let me know. If you want a specific saying for yourself, let me know so I can save it for you.
Most public bathrooms are closed due to the shut down. Hopefully the backers of the Million Vet March have order a couple of jiffy johns.
Oh-rah, the DC Chapter is gathering once again!

Thank you for your service to our great country !
It might be helpful, for those just hearing about this, to tell them at which monument you will be.
Wish I could be there. Godspeed!
Don’t bogart that joint, Mr. President; pass it over to me!
Last Saturday I took the Metro from Pentagon City.
The closest Metro station to the WWII Memorial appears to be the Smithsonian Station. From the Smithsonian to the WWII Memorial is about one mile.
Maybe a cab from there is an option?
That's the point of the exercise. The Vets are going to open the mall up right before the house caves to Zero's demands.
Somehow I do not think they will stop us, or even try.
Hope it comes down some more. Most of us have a heck of a drive to get into DC. Maybe the truckers will use up all the surplus gas and prices will rise again.
Thanks. That puts me one step closer in my quest. Worst case scenario I will be parking near there and will stop by.
Looks like I have several I can choose from. Maybe use a couple so the signs do not all look alike.
Thanks
Closest station (blue & orange lines) is the Smithsonian but that is still on the opposite side of the Washington Monument.
Maybe get off at an outlier station and take a cab to the WWII Memorial. Once at the Memorial, check around about getting a ride back to a Metro station. I can always get my car and pick you up.
Check out Post 28. I am the one holding the tall flag. Hope to see you there.
10-4, everyone will be with us in spirit.
Post 19 has the info. Guess I am rusty in posting and assumed everyone has heard about the Million Vet March.
Great minds think alike. I did not yet read you post and said the exact same thing. And thanks for post the picture. No one can say they missed us now.

You are there in spirit. Look for us on TV since we represent patriotic Americans. At least look on the BBC. They show more real news than the lame stream media here.
