Sen. John McCain said Thursday that hes worried about the Republican Partys future and the infighting that is dividing it, calling efforts by conservatives to unseat incumbent Republican lawmakers wrong.
The famously wry McCain, R-Ariz., said he regretted calling the Tea Party wing of the Republican Senate conference wacko birds during budget negotiations, saying hes learned to never get personal in political disputes
I do worry about the Republican Party, he said at the Hero Summit hosted by The Daily Beast. Its the first time I have ever seen Republican senators running ads, raising money that is being used to attack incumbent Republican senators.
Noting that Republican Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas recently drew a challenger from the Right, McCain asked, Where has Pat Roberts offended anybody?
Since when was a seat in Congress a lifetime appointment? Since when is inoffensiveness a reason to vote for somebody? Since when is John McCain in charge of who should and shouldnt run for public office?
But dont worry about the wacko birds thing, senator. When you said that, we all just considered the source. And then we shook our heads that we were ever forced by circumstances to vote for him.
McCain is so loyal to incumbent Senators he forgets there are reasons for primaries, like getting rid of bums who place loyalty to the Senate over loyalty to the Constitution and their constituents.
Must be female. No eighty year old cojones to be ogled.
In her own time and in her own way, she will. I doubt her thoughts about McCain are G rated. She’s repaid all the markers from ‘08....now we watch.
Juan fell off the Fiscal Cliff and landed on his head. Permanent Brain Damaged.
He is probably orchestrating the whole good cop bad cop thing with the Dems, that is aimed at the tea party.
The Dems are beating us up and Ol John says..
“I love ya baby!” When all the while he is in bed with the dems.
They are all squirming at the moment, and principled conservatives should be taking notes.
I seriously don’t think these buttheads can read ted Cruz.
Don't worry a good deal of the base is stupid enough to buy this ruse.
I'm sure someone will be along to tell us the merits of voting for Stupid Party candidates that are backstabbing illegal loving #ssh#l#s that lack any conservative principles.
And how abortion, gun control, faggot marriage, socialized healthcare, and amnesty are all "okay" and "conservative" because "our guy" is the "lesser of two evils."
BTW, just for posting your comments - you must love 0bama and want democrats to get elected. I'm being sarcastic in this last statement; unfortunately there are those who would not be.
Senator McCain,
We’re not wacko birds, we’re ANGRY BIRDS!!!
and you’re a pig inside a glass house.
Sorry aint gunna cut it John
Too little. Too late. Too bad. So sad. NOT!
I agree she has paid on all the markers.
I await.
I do worry about the Republican Party, he said at the Hero Summit hosted by The Daily Beast.<<
I worry too...You worthless piece of s...!.
Just saying...
The fact that he's rarely even voted and wasn't even registered to vote, believes abortion "should be left up to....." and has no problem with gay marriage, "if that's what the people want," should give you a glimpse of what kind of "right winger" he is!
When Barack looked to be gaining the Primary, Milton Wolfe's mom said she thought they were related and sure enough, Barack's grandmother (Stanley Ann's mum) was a sister to Wolfe's grandfather!
It was then that Wolfe decided he was interested in politics and the largest office upcoming in 2014 was the Roberts' reelection!
Sen. John McCain said Thursday that hes worried about the Republican Partys future ”
So are many others and they see you as part of the problem and part of the past.
Where has Pat Roberts offended anybody?
Who cares? The question that should be answered is, Why should incumbents run unopposed in primaries forever? If you were really a conservative and a capitalist, you would understand that competition is a good thing and will make for a more healthy and vibrant party, and ensure that those elected are attuned to those they represent.
I think Juan is probably going to run for re-election..must be getting nervous that he might lose..Sorry Juan, I dont accept your apology..you still owe us all an apology for 2008, kissing up to Obama, probably voting for him
Photoshop has been outdone. What a wondrous sight to behold!
He’s actually been heard to say that from time to time.

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.
[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]
