Sen. John McCain said Thursday that hes worried about the Republican Partys future and the infighting that is dividing it, calling efforts by conservatives to unseat incumbent Republican lawmakers wrong.
The famously wry McCain, R-Ariz., said he regretted calling the Tea Party wing of the Republican Senate conference wacko birds during budget negotiations, saying hes learned to never get personal in political disputes
I do worry about the Republican Party, he said at the Hero Summit hosted by The Daily Beast. Its the first time I have ever seen Republican senators running ads, raising money that is being used to attack incumbent Republican senators.
Noting that Republican Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas recently drew a challenger from the Right, McCain asked, Where has Pat Roberts offended anybody?
Since when was a seat in Congress a lifetime appointment? Since when is inoffensiveness a reason to vote for somebody? Since when is John McCain in charge of who should and shouldnt run for public office?
But dont worry about the wacko birds thing, senator. When you said that, we all just considered the source. And then we shook our heads that we were ever forced by circumstances to vote for him.
Senator RINO;calling The Tea Party Wing of the Republican Party "wacko birds" is a horrible thing to say for which you've apologized for, in a rather un-elegant,-un-eloquent,-Senator-RINO-patently-goofy sort of way. Unctuous enough.
But, what about when you referred to Republican activists as "Tea Party Hobbits", was that okay, huh?
Anyway, guess what? Apologies not ever accepted. Shove your apology where the sun don't shine. Why don't you, your "wacko birds" and your "activist hobbits" find your way back to Panama. FUJM.
all is forgiven: right?

Mr. McCain I 100% supported your 2008 run because you picked Ms. Palin as your running mate.
But frankly I’m getting pretty sick of hearing you every single day, making a fool of yourself.
Please just shut up for a while.
Thank you.
whatever, juan mcamnesty.
just resign.
Shut up Juan, you POS.
Now, that’s funny. (The car year and model says a whole lot) LOL
An apology does nothing to remove the fact that you are a traitor to conservatives and a collaborator with the Democrats Senator McCain.
Going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing this pretty much sums it up FOR THE ENTIRE FREAKING WORLD !!!!
Thank you for posting
Not gonna cut it, Mr. McRino. We have every right to campaign against Republicans whom we feel are acting counter to principles of the Republican party AND the Constitution. Every...God..given... right to do so.
Aww, huggy huggy John. Not! You’re sorry you said it, but not sorry you think it.
Juan, if you are looking for forgiveness, that ship sailed a long time ago. Just go away.
I’ll take that as a positive sign. If McLame is shifting, he must see a winning side to sidle up to. d;^)
Sen McCain supported MANPADs to al Qaeda,
crucifixions in Egypt, and sarin to al Qaeda in Syria.
TRUST LOST by the traitor will NEVER be regained.
Republicans raising money to unseat incumbent Republican lawmakers is wrong? get over yourself, Mr. McCain... in fact, go away...
To late “My Friend”
He must be scared out if is tiny little mind.
Cornyn is going nuts with ads trying to prove his Tea Party bonafides.
