If there was any doubt surrounding Megyn Kelly’s success when she returned from maternity leave, her performance so far this week has put all the haters to shame!
On her premiere night, Megyn had Senator Ted Cruz as a guest and did great in ratings. But what’s even more impressive is how she did even better in the ratings on her second night doing the show.
In her second night on Fox News’ new primetime lineup, Megyn Kelly clocked the highest adults 25-54 rating across all of cable news, building on her Bill O’Reilly lead-in. Kelly averaged 623,000 demo viewers and 2.8 million viewers overall — and did it without Sen. Ted Cruz, her premiere-night big “get.” Compared to her maiden voyage in primetime the previous night Kelly’s show jumped 116% in the demo and 34% in overall audience. In so doing, she beat CNN’s Piers Morgan and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow combined — in both metrics. Morgan logged 590,000 viewers, 169,000 of them in the demo; Maddow logged 1.1 million viewers, 291,000 in the demo.
The O’Reilly lead in has certainly been helpful for getting viewers initially, but obviously people are liking Ms. Kelly’s show enough to stick around. The new lineup for Fox seems to be working for them and viewers seem to be happy with the choice of new primetime queen!

She's definitely smarter than he is , but that doesnt take much.
How about Maddow who she competes with?
She looks great even after two kids.

She was great covering SCOTUS hearings, I first saw her do that for GWB’s

It’s a real change from Hannity who is more or less a one trick pony - Obama bashing for an hour. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just that repeating stuff gets tiresome to watch.

I have always liked her up to the 2012 election result coverage. I think she lost a little class and acted foolish. But if her shows continue to be as good as the last few, I will forgive her. Lol.
Agreed, but That doesnt take much looking at Hannity, BOR, Fox and Friends, Shep,.... uggg no wonder many think that Repubs are stupid.

Election night 2012 Kelly calls Ohio for Obama (correctly) and Rove who predicted a big win for Romney goes into a hissy fit on air.

Next day Rove is assuring contributors to his funds that no-one could have predicted that Romney would lose ((except all those polls)
I wonder where you got the idea that I would like another channel rather than Fox? MSNBC has never once been on in my house. I was referring to the folks on here who seem to think Fox & everyone on it aren’t pure enough for them. What is, I wonder? They’re always putting almost everyone down rather than praising anyone at all.

I do believe my fellow FReepers when they say she went after Ted Cruz much the same way liberals have. Perhaps she thought that would get her ratings. Maybe it did. Either way, it doesn't sound like anything I would want on my television screen. But then, I'm no fan of Fox news to begin with.
Kelly quoted polls by politico and PPP, two leftist organizations and asked Cruz to answer why he was so unpopular. That is not fair and balanced in my book.

Part of the reason people don’t like that she disagreed with Rove on election night? I thought freepers HATED Rove, also he WAS wrong, wasn’t he? Did Romney win Ohio? Is he President right now? Where did he get that sun tan?
