Now this is leadership. And "optics"! As political "optics" go, thousands of boats in these waters is SOLID GOLD!
Not to in any way disparage the Navy Chief’s patriotism and dedication to service to his country, but the rank of Senior Chief is a high level enlisted rank while Captain is a senior officers’ rank.

Good. We need hundreds of non-violent protests like this. But beware. The fascists in government are looking for a confrontation.
I don't think so. It's more like the Obama thinking was that people would whine but do nothing. Thus he'd be confirming how weak and ineffectual we are against his dictates. The only strong contradiction to that was the WWII vets. They knew that to get something done, do it. Don't test the waters and take polls first....just do what's right for your situation.
