The Monitor in McAllen (http://bit.ly/1huO8fh ) reported Sunday that County Commissioner David Garza said no federal money is spent on staffing, managing or maintaining the park. However, he was reluctant to question the federal authorities' decision.
"We don't want to get into a fight with the federal government at this time," he said.

Aren’t all land ownership claims filed with the local (county?) Gov’t?
BINGO
They can look themselves in the mirror and say “I was only following orders”
then remember how many other faceless bureaucrats in history said that to defend themselves
No eminent domain against the government
Start a helicopter Berlin airlift operation.
Thanks for posting.

“County workers were not allowed to enter the park to do scheduled repair work on the boat ramps.”

Obama sycophant will do whatever he asks
The park has never stopped anything before.
Lake Granger parks have been shut as well. I haven’t heard about any Corp of Engineer lakes being shut - yet.
I’m looking for public land closed in the Dallas/Fort Worth area so I can practice some uncivil disobedience.
I don’t care what you call it...annexing...foreclosure...stealing...
It’s time for some of these Politicians to follow the walker example and tell the feds to pound sand...
escort the feds to the closest state line with state troopers...
Hey Obama, get out of my country!
