BTW pictures of the SUV show a smashed passenger side window — so they were underattack from both sides.

I’m sure the officers will get a severe verbal reprimand as they report for duty, expect anyone driving an SUV to be ticketed for something, for a few days anyway.

It looks like the media may have found their next Trayvon Martin, His name is Edwin Mieses Jr.
If/When we see a story in which Alexian Lien is described as a white Oriental, we will know for sure.

I read an article about the issue of cops being members of these motorcycle clubs (I don’t remember where) a couple of months before this happened.
It’s apparently become a big problem, because the behavior of these new, aggressive motorcycle clubs is often not something a cop should be part of, and some of the other members are known criminals. These are not your daddy’s motorcycle clubs, so to speak, and violent or at least aggressive, intimidating rides seem to be a regular part of their lives.
I was on my way back from Orlando a few weeks ago and saw them surround a car on the highway here in Florida, clearly attempting to taunt or scare the driver. Not good. But then they all swoop off before law enforcement can get there...and if some of them actually are law enforcement - yipes!

It’s a Police “Biker” Gang...

As long as the cops got to go home safely at the end of their shift bike ride, that's the important thing. < /sarcasm>

"The five officers were not the only ones present, WABC is reporting that the NYPD is investigating whether several off-duty corrections officers were also present."So I'd ask -- "How many of the thugs weren't cops?"

Power corrupts.
Too much power in government led to the wrong type of people in government and too much power in the the police force led to the wrong type of people as police.
It is necessary for governments to rise and fall to maintain liberty.
Thomas Jefferson said it better.

More proof cops are not on the side of law or the people. They are on “their” side demarked by the “thin blue line”.
