Dear Heavenly Father,
You said that when two or more are gathered in Your name, there You are also. We come together as friends and family of Jim to ask that You place Your hand of protection upon Jim during his surgery today. Lord, bless the hands, minds, and souls of the surgical team. Let their hands be Your hands. Let their decisions be Your decisions. We lift him up to You and ask that You carry him through surgery and return him to us happy, healthy, and whole.
We also ask that Your Holy Spirit provide an overwhelming sense of peace for Jim, Sheila, Chris, and John. Comfort them as they wait for good news from the surgical team. Bless and keep each of them today.
Your Holy Word says that in Christ all things are possible. We ask these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ and thank you for answered prayers.

Well it is a blessing that they are postponing this to get Jim’s body to the best level it can to handle the stress of surgery. I'm with you - it's got to be done right - that's what will safeguard Jim's life. If it takes more time, so be it... We have the time. He has the time.

Continued prayers for you, Jim. I know you/we all want this surgery done, but I’m holding your doctors up in prayer today with their decisions and praying for God to watch over your body and let it prepare itself for surgery in the quickest manner and time possible.

During my husbands six month stint in the hospital and subsequent heart transplant, we learned how vital magnesium is for the heart. Just when they thought they got it, his potassium levels went whacky. Over three years later, his magnesium levels are still watched very closely. It is tricky getting the right dosage and numbers adjusted, so just hang in there! Prayers up!
