The man’s Range Rover was surrounded by several bikers on the West Side Highway on Sunday. One biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire. But when the driver stopped, several bikers began to damage his SUV. Cops are investigating.

A pack of bikers pummeled a driver in upper Manhattan on Sunday, after a wild chase that began with a fender bender on the West Side Highway, cops said.

The brawl erupted after the victim — who was driving his wife and their young child — became surrounded by a swarm of motorcycles on the highway and accidentally hit one of the bikes near W. 125th St. about 2 p.m., police said.

The cops are having trouble identifying the bikers because they didn’t have license plates.

Don’t know dragnet2’s history, but he clearly sees things differently than most folks on here. Perhaps he was hit by someone and carries emotional or physical scars.

I'm not a biker but I got to know a few families whose husbands were genuine "patched" bikers and they wouldn't lower themselves to ride a rice burner.

They can be real good neighbors once you get to know them... lots of former military types...really patriotic in their way.

These guys loved their bikes more than their old woman and wouldn't hazard their beloved bikes in just a foolish way.

That's not to say they're studious drivers but when they get in accidents usually a combination of alcohol, drugs and a grudge are involved.

Believe me if they wanted to intimidate the RR driver they wouldn't have to endanger their rides. And if they were real bikers instead of these p@ssy pretenders, and truly p*ssed off, the driver of the RR wouldn't be alive if he scratched their hogs...

At the 5:19 mark where the SUV was stopped and a guy jumped off his rocket and attempted to open the car door, that's when the driver should have gone on the offensive. But hey, he's a father and probably never ever thought about such a scenario happening. All he wants to do is get away and save his family.

I'm sure most of us here would have turned the SUV into a bowling ball and the bikers as pins.........I know I would have.

As a side note, it was NY city where citizens aren't allowed to carry firearms.........Just brandishing one would have put an end to most of that nonsense.........

Yep. It appeared he was on a freeway when he made the mistake of getting off and heading up onto the streets..........

I hate seeing crap like this when both you and I know that had he had a firearm with him this would not have happened........

Because we all know that Asians, particularly small Asian family men(with spotless criminal record, IMHO) with their wife and baby on board are notorious to be ill-tempered and ready to pick fights with packs of wannebe "bikers" who are studious, mild manner travelers of the road and polite to all they encounter.(rolls eyes)

If one can judge from the video(not unimpeachable I admit) the cyclist intentionally slowed down for no apparent reason other than to to allow himself and his pack to toy with the family in the Range Rover, the driver slowed but not quickly enough and accidentally bumped the cyclist's ride.

Having stopped, the cyclists involved weren't content to trade insurance information with the errand driver but instead decided to trade blows, whether upon his person or property, doesn't matter, it frightened the driver to believe his family's lives were in danger, he decided(prudently in my opinion) to floor it and seek safety elsewhere..

Blocked behind traffic, the cyclists caught up with him and decided street justice was the rule of the day and pulled him from his vehicle and commenced to beat him to a pulp until satisfaction or cooler heads prevailed.

Yes laws were broken by both sides but an traffic violation doesn't stand very well against intimidation, assault and battery, assault with the attempt to do deadly harm, does it?

I'd take the driver's case to a jury against the cyclists any day.
