Obamacare is a gigantic shell game. Americans were promised that the Affordable Care Act would lower health costs by $2,500 a year for the average family, provide coverage for tens of millions more Americans, and do all of this while reducing the federal budget deficit. It would be accomplished through 2,800 pages of legislation, tens of thousands of pages of regulatory directives and an interlocking network of new federal mandates. Many Americans were skeptical that this unprecedented effort at government re-engineering could succeed. Their skepticism is justified.
Still, the Obama administration continues to try to convince us that all is well -- most recently announcing that premiums are going to be lower than expected in the federally run exchanges.
But the administration is using as its baseline what the Congressional Budget Office expected health insurance to cost after the law went into effect -- $2,100 a year more for an individual policy -- versus prices that consumers experience in the real world....

And that deductible is yearly...so if you have a hospitalization at the end of the year and another one the following year, say early in the year, you are out 12000.00. Plus there may be co pays and drug costs. Most people don’t understand deductibles or co pays. I have yet to see anything that is teaching people about this. These folks think all they have to do is pay a monthly premium and they can have all their medical costs covered, just wait for the fall out!
I’d like to know who wrote this POS for Obama and his minion. At 2,000 plus pages, it sure wasn’t boiler plate. It was sitting around, to be presented at just the right time. Who sponsored the research and development of this garbage mascarading as a Health Care Program? The answer to that question will tell us all we need to know in holding the guilty responsible when the revolution kicks off.
The original single-payer House bill was purportedly written by the Apollo Group -- a shadowy collection of radical activists (including, not coincidently, William Ayers).
Recall, however, that the original House bill got stalled in the Senate and Joe Lieberman, as the putative 60th vote, single-handedly forced insurance companies back into the mix. By the time Senate staffers had grafted that language onto the original bill, it was a bastard child with no true concept -- aside from the objective of seizing control of the healthcare industry.
knowing lawyers as middle men picking the money, doctors and patients will not be allowed to talk to each other, a cop lawyer in between will do the interpretation of who needs to do what
Yup.
Praise the Lord that we have Senator Cruz to focus on Defunding Obamacare.
After that we need to get rid of Boehner, then McConnell.
After that we need to have at least three special prosecutors for The Benghazi Massacre, IRS corruption, and NSA corruption.
2013 will be a busy fourth quarter.
“I may be getting paranoid in my old age, but I think Obamacare is less a shell game than it is a Trojan Horse for single payer.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
There is only one thing other than a Trojan horse for single payer that it could have been and that is just a way INTENTIONALLY to totally destroy the economy, how could anyone have imagined otherwise? It appears to be both.
Anyone who thought that it was a benign act even though it may have been misguided was simply naive beyond comprehension. To attribute good intentions to the engineers of this fiasco is like having someone cut your hand off with a sword and saying oh, well, you tried, I know you were just trying to trim my fingernails for me.
No legislator with a grain of honest intent would ever vote for a bill thousands of pages long without ever even attempting to read, let alone understand it. To attempt to say otherwise is absurd. In fact no HONEST legislator would ever vote for something that long period because you cannot produce something that long if you are honestly attempting to solve a problem as opposed to intentionally creating a disaster.
At the current rate that will soon be the new equivalent to Beluga caviar and champagne.
Thanks for the information/education.
we need a Senate that has a backbone....as it is right now, we’re absolutely sunk...
the rat party is just the mafia, period....sweet deal.....
It was a revamp of Hillarycare written by the Democrat Socialist caucus and other communists, IIRC.
I read somewhere that it was Bill Clinton's Center for American Progress, which would explain why he has been so involved with the implementation.
If John Roberts had followed law and not pulled it out of his butt, Obamacare wouldn’t be an issue.
Thanks Roberts. You single-handedly destroyed our Republic.
