Baack Obama and Hassan Rouhani held the first direct talks between American and Iranian leaders since the 1979 Islamic revolution, exchanging pleasantries in a 15-minute telephone call on Friday that raised the prospect of relief for Tehran from crippling economic sanctions.
Speaking at the White House shortly after the historic call, Obama said his discussion with Rouhani had shown the "basis for resolution" of the dispute over Iran nuclear programme.

This will provide the time for Iran to finish their first nuclear weapon and prevent Israel from attacking while the US is engaged in high level negotiations. Obama mission accomplished.

On so many levels. Get in Obama's head. He decides he's not going to negotiate with US citizens who don't agree with him on Obamacare, so moves on to very dangerous discussions with Iran....after batting about 100% total failure so far on foreign affairs.
I'd love to see the war mongering stop. But with a weakened, ridiculed and mostly despised Obama negotiating with Iran? It's a recipe for disaster.

Read and article out of Israel last evening, some in the intelligence community believe Iran already possesses at least one atomic bomb.
The reasoning for the Iranian leaders smug acceptance and new found willingness to negotiate is that they won. They know they've won and now they can open up dialog with a softer tone.
It makes sense.
