HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities say a homeowner fought back after three people burst into his southeast Harris County home, and now one person is dead in that burglary gone wrong.
It all unfolded shortly after 5pm at a home near the intersection of Cypress Meadows and Teal Lane.
Deputies are still talking to people, gathering information about what happened. We don't yet know the female suspect's identity, but they tell us she's a 47-year-old white woman.
Neighbors came home from work to see yellow tape crossing Cypress Meadows Drive.
"I think most people just want to go and work and come home and enjoy the house that they work for. And to know you have to worry about this is just sad," neighbor Andrew Tucker said.
On Thursday, they saw flashing lights and their neighbor being escorted down the street.
"At this point here, he said there are three strangers, forced entry into his house and robbed him at gunpoint," said Sgt. Ben Beall with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The 23-year-old homeowner fought back. Investigators say as the two men and a woman left his home, he grabbed his gun and shot at the suspected female burglar through the driver's side of the Nissan car she had driven there, killing her.

The race of the two males were not mentioned. The homeowner’s were there. I’ll bet the homeowner described the bad guys. But the reporters just couldn’t say what it was.
It’s common in home invasions to use a female or young child to get the home owner to open the door. Then the tough guys come running in once the door is opened

............assuming the female perp was indeed one of the criminals committing the crime, she got what she deserved notwithstanding that I’m sure she had a rough childhood, mom was a crack whore, her kids were hungry, Daddy was who knows and so on and so on and yadi, yadi...............we’ve all heard it ALL before...........a thousand times!
I have a wealthy friend who’s “son” is stealing from him to support his habit. So far, the tab is up around 100k. Dad with mom’s concurrence is one click away from filing charges (after two years of tolerance). Would bet 1,000 bucks that “drugs” were what was the most basic motivation of the three burglars.
Can’t be. Drugs are victimless.
If the drugs were legal, people could afford them without stealing, like they did before 1920.
Most alcoholics do not steal to get alcohol. It is cheap enough that they can get it without the hassle.

What are you talking about? That’s a fine suburban area. But I have no idea why it is described as SE Houston. It is due South from the city center, right along Beltway 8.
Plus New York has lots of Jews and they have the money
