LIVE Thread: Senate cloture vote. Guess the number of RINOs that vote to support "Dingy" Harry
C-span 2

Posted on 09/27/2013 6:59:01 AM PDT by ken5050

Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?

I accuse all the Obama voters of trying to scam us by using Obamacare to seize the wealth of hardworking people and redistribute it to themselves. The Dumbocrats saying that WE’RE the scammers is classic misdirection.

To: who knows what evil?

I just got through to Corker’s DC office and gave the office girl an earful..

I said Corker was a traitor and that I was ashamed to be a Tennessean today because Corker just sold out Americans and Tennesseans and voted for ObamaCare which is against the Constitution..

(short version)

Flake and Hatch are Cowards. How dare they not even vote and will probably still claim they are against Obamacare.

If it had been closer we might not have had 19.

But to be closer we would've had to have a lot more than 19. So this is some kind of paradox you've introduced here...

Oh but the republicans are using this.
I have been bombarded with their fund raising letters.

While they've been beating up on Cruz, the republicans have been using his fight to fundraise.

BUT, Republicare wasn't caused by Ted Cruz or Mike Lee.

What did they say back?

I called Boozman’s office and gave them an earful.

The woman said she completely understood but that Senator Boozman believed he should vote yes.

Oh and following on to that...

At the Alamo, if you would run away rather than stand against the Mexican dictator’s invasion, it could be said that you showed you WANTED Texas to be ruled by the Mexican dicatator. Logically, that does not follow. It does show you wouldn’t pay the price your compatriots were willing to pay for freedom. Why? Because you loved life more than liberty. That’s why we call the Alama defenders “Heroes of Liberty”. Willing to risk all, and to give all.

We don’t have very many like that involved in this situation today.

Of that we can be sure.

And from what we are hearing from inside sources, there are quite a few who despise Ted Cruz and would do anything to get back at him.

Again, for sure!

Obamacare fine if you decide to go without insurance:

It is not fine. Only now do we have to pay a fine or tax for NOT buying something.

Eat your peas and buy that Buick or else!!

Have Ovide Lamontagne run against Kelly Ayotte again and this time state that she failed the people and rattle off her voting record. She only won cause Palin supported her, but Palin is now even upset at her over her amnesty support. So Ovide will have an easy time beating Ayotte.

Interesting, and who can blame Sarah Palin for being upset at traitor Kelly Ayotte?

I'm in CT, but that name Ovide Lamontagne is familiar - I think he tried to win the GOP vs. Ayotte when she ran for Senate... I remember seeing his signs in NH. Hopefully Lamontagne can make it. NH is not deep red, in fact it's barely purple at times. Too many former MA residents flooding NH because of lower taxes, etc. And you know what happens when too many libs invade a formerly Red State...

You’re from MS, right?

What was the deal with Cochrane? On CSPAN-2 I heard the clerk first read he was a “NO”, but less than a minute later he was a “YES”. Was it clerk error or was he playing a game?

Lol this is true. Hadn’t thought about it that way!

I’ll rephrase. If it had been closer.. some of the people that voted No, probably would have voted yes.

It can’t be introducing more free-market efficiency, since if those families are paying out-of-pocket under Obamacare, they would naturally already be doing it now. The penalty can only create an incentive so that less of them do that and more sign on for insurance.
