Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?
No doubt it’s the ultimate battle of good vs. evil.
I find it oddly comforting, knowing that forces far greater than any of us is at play.
After the last 6 years I have come to the hard realization that nothing I do will move evil over to good. I no longer bother trying, instead I find more enjoyment from sticking their filth right back at them, I refuse to be covered in darkness with their lies.
Town halls have become quite entertaining as of late.
I used to go in with my info, all ready to shed some light. Now, I sit back and listen, waiting for the perfect opening to take their well rehearsed lies and toss it back at them.
If you want the conservative base to stay home in droves... Keep propping up RINO’s on your Party ticket.
That simple. McCain? Romney? Dole?
\Heck, even Bush wasn’t nearly as conservative as he’s been painted to be. His lack of rolling back Clinton and Bush Sr. EO’s on things like the Eastern bloc weapons import ban and DRMO sales of surplus ammo components would have been EASY for him to do. Medicare Part D? PATRIOT Act?
We’ve HAD choices. Without the Party pushing a real candidate though, those choices will always be long shots compared to the Insider and MSM “favorite”.
And, the next time FReepers start weighing on how wonderful and patriotic their mormon neighbors are, remember Harry Reid, who has been outed on this thread as a common criminal, is a mormon in good standing. RomneyCare brought us ObamaCare!
What the final Republican Tally?
Did Cruz get a majority of Republicans?
Oh well, I can’t count.... 19
Thank Liz Cheney for Enzi’s NO vote..
I loked it up.It says to end it.I guess tat means not vote on amendments to it.
looked :)
It was a beautiful 21 hours. Politics felt clean and for the first time in a long time, I knew that I was being represented.
NO..amendments were all withdrawn..
Roll call for Final.
Bull, Enzi is a solid conservative, I hope Liz goes down in flames.
Final was 19 out of 46. Not even half of the GOP.
Worthless fools.
I hink they got 19 Republican votes no.
From now on Reid and Pelosi will be refer to Obamacare as bipartisan. They will throw every criticism back in their faces - well it was Bipartisan!
Hope no Pub was planning on running a platform against Obamacare. No can do now. Jerks.
I believe Rubio voted NO
Nope, didn’t see that coming. (sarc)
I would say that Cruz did get 100% of the real Republican vote. The rest are just posers.
Right. Roll call for that vote?
So 60 votes to cut off debate and 51 to pass it? I think I understand it. What I don’t understand are the folks with (R)s after their names defying the will of the electorate. It is blatant “ I know you voted for me and I know you don’t want obamacare, but I’m voting for it anyway” .
I guess we need to burn up the Speaker’s phone line..
