First, Free Republics Web site is located here Free Republic.
Free Republic presents itself as the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism.
Lets look around.
I see some areas in the left and right borders.
On the left are :
Alliances
Resource Links
Media Links
Legal Groups
Political Links
Government Links
Military Links
Now thats impressive. Easy access to informative Web sites on a wide scale. Except for Alliances the groups are self-explanatory. I have been to Alamo-Girl.com and found an outstanding resource on an amazing array of topics.
On the right are :
Forums
Topics
Daily Threads
Talkshow Threads
Talkshow Links
Again, impressive.
In the center column, you will find that
Free Republic, LLC is a non-commercial, limited liability company founded and operated by Jim Robinson (jimrob@psnw.com), a private citizen of Fresno California along with all you will ever need to know about Free Republic.
However, it is not clear just how to use Free Republic but it is very easy to catch on. No one needs register to read Free Republic Topics but in order to post an article or respond to an article you would register. I suggest you read some of the material and responses before registering because youll need a modicum of knowledge how to write in HTML
At the top and to the right of a bold Free Republic you see Forum Account Mail Pings Post Help Register and Sign In/Out. The only one of those that you will use is Forum. Click on Forum and you will be whisked away to a page containing articles and comments posted by registered Freepers. People who register and people who read Free Republic are often labeled Freepers. I havent figured out whether it is provocative or not but I dont mind.
You are now reading Free Republic.
What you are reading is someones notion of something theyve read, heard, or saw that compelled them to take the time to draft a HTML text document in order to share it with you. It was important to them but that doesnt mean it will be important to you.
If you should feel the urge to share your opinion about something you just read you should use help on the home page. You will find all you need to know about registering and enough basic HTML to post or respond immediately. There is no cost involved. You wont be alone, there are 300,000 registered, youll be 300,001.
Ive become somewhat dependent on Free Republic and a few other sites. I found Free Republic via a link on the Drudge Report years ago. The first time I posted on Free Republic it was my recollections of a March for Justice or Freedom in 1998. I referred to pictures I had taken but I didnt know how to post them. Someone contacted me offering to post the pictures for me if I gave them the files. Files, what files, these are photographs, on paper, from negatives. There are no files. My wife found someone in the printing business who scanned them and I passed the files to Free Republic. They posted them for me.
I still have one of the pictures and put it on Photobucket much later. I wonder if it is still there, I wonder if Photobucket is still there.
Guess what? It is still there. Constitution
This was new to me as it was to others. Drudge Report is another Web site I like but it is not interactive. In fact, I often see articles posted on Drudge referred to on Free Republic.
Think about what this resource provides you. Free Republic provides access to what 300,000 people find important enough to share about how many thousands if not millions of events encountered around the world.
Don’t forget to include that FR is a pro-life board and that discussing abortion with the intent on being moderate, will get you private messages inviting you to cease and desist or leave.
That is a lesson best learned by trial and error.
Any discussion of the ins and outs of FreeRepublic much make mention of the Zot.
The question is simple. Is the value received worth the cost?
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance! Now we see what can happen when the price went unpaid. Was the price of freedom to high? Perhaps the value received was not worth the price.
The price of my freedom cost lives. Surely asking me for my eternal vigilance is not asking too much of me if life can be the price of freedom.
In keeping with the Hugh/Series mem, should that read ‘Oh, The Hugh Manatee!’
I havent figured out whether it is provocative or not but I dont mind.
Neither have I Moses, but when I do, I'll let you know. Oh, and I don't mind either.

I am soooooo stealing that.....too funny!!
This place looks like swiss cheese. My post seems to be gone too. I wonder if we’ve sustained an attack from the Humorless Tards?
...just say’en.
It’s thanks to Rush 20+ that I first heard of FR and Drudge. Soon as I got home I made a visit and both have become my most visited.
Yep, mods gone wild;^)
Since this is obviously a suck-up vanity, I would suggest that you offer to cut the grass and wash the cars of the resident mods...........
Well, I got to see a little before they went yank-happy. I said “Would Laz hit that?” and some humorless beotch said “Well! I don’t like being ‘Hit’”. I suppose it went down hill from that. We obviously have a crappy Mod on duty. I must take note of the day of the week and the time (Thursday afternoons. A-hole mod. Check). It pays to do that. Don’t get funny on Saturday mornings, for example. We have a really bad Mod on Saturday mornings.
I asked Laz if he would hit something. Mods pulled my post and about a dozen others. I say piss on the Mods’ cars.
Why? Who is he, a site guru or something?
Oooh! Oooh! Woof!
