In the aftermath of Senator Ted Cruzs epic performance on the Senate floor, a few observations:
After his disgraceful attacks on Cruz, including his reach-across-the-aisle, dog-in-the-manger response today, this should be the end of Senator John McCain as a voice of influence in the Republican party. Ditto his mini-me, Senator Lindsey Graham. Indeed, the entire Old Guard of business-as-usual comity fans passeth. When you care more about what the other side thinks, its probably time either to switch teams or step down.
There is new leadership in the GOP, whether the party wants to admit it or not: Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Jeff Sessions, and the others who stepped into the breach to spell the senator from Texas.
The popular reaction to Cruz will be immediate and noticeable; the more the old bulls carp, the more the public will rally to Cruzs side. The country has been spoiling for a real fight since the election of 2008, and now it has one.
Conservatives have finally realized that, as its currently constituted, they have no home in the Republican party, which is the Washington Generals to the Democrats Harlem Globetrotters, the designated losers who nevertheless are rewarded handsomely for their sham opposition.
To that end, conservatives understand that rather than form a third party, their only hope is to seize control of the corrupt, rotting hulk of the GOP, which they now can do with the help of a reinvigorated Tea Party especially with Lois Lerners IRS off its back.

No party affiliation from me until then, and certainly not a dime of support.

He’s got it all right.
Great article. Too bad we did not have someone to primary Inhofe. But we are stuck with him. He is a reliable vote in the end but we need new blood in the mold of Cruz. Maybe next time. I am done with the old GOP...our hope is with the likes of Cruz, Bridenstine, Louie Gohmert (sp), and others. May God continue to send us men and women willing to fight to save America.
I did exactly what you said. Will only send money to individual candidates.
Yup. One thing we know from long experience about the libs is that they always overreach. Ever since yesterday's news stories detailing just how much Obamacare is going to cost individual Americans, the dullard low-info voters, who thought the whole thing was going to be FREE for godsake, have begun paying shocked attention.
I hope the old guard take their dentures with them.
Lindsey was on Greta’s show around 10pm last night complaining about having to stay up late to be on with her.
Meanwhile, a real leader with some backbone was on the floor of the Senate, about 8 hours into what was to be a 21 hour marathon fighting for the survival of the nation.
Hope poor sleep deprived Lindsey was able to sleep in.
McCain? Graham? I think I remember those guys Are they still alive?
Satanic.
Brain-dead, but still walking.
Now is the time for all Conservatives to get behind 1 candidate for 2016.
We should thank Barack Obama - if he hadn’t had been such an unmitigated disaster, none of this would have happened.

What we have here is the opening battle for control of the GOP, yeah Cruz wants to defund Ocaire, but he knows that is not going to happen, but this fight will plainly draws the lines between the GOPe and conservatives. Which is why I am on Cruzs side even thou I know OCaire will not be defunded.
Does anyone at National Rescrew understand the difference between tea party and The TEA Party?
I suspect not.
I have been more and more convinced that Michael Medved is part of that old guard problem in the R party so today I tuned in as a test.
Sure enough, he was condemning Cruz.
Medved, you’ve been selling us out. You are the radio talk show host of McCain. It’s a shame.
I will be very disappointed if the GOPe try to sandbag him.
I've held the belief for a few years that Obamacare is actually supported by both parties, and it appears the ruling class is going to force this on us, regardless of our objections.
Seeing how both parties are acting in unison, can't wait to see what they force on us with amnesty.
I still believe a plurality of voters consider themselves Conservative, perhaps even a majority. I'm thinking that there are so many unhappy (educated) voters at present (both Republicans and Democrats) realizing that they have no representation, the time may be better than ever for a third party.
The last time they called me a couple weeks ago, I said I was SICK of the Republican Party and hung up. Then I get crap in the mail anyway.
IF??? That's all they've been doing since he got there.
