I live about 20 miles from the home of Sam Houston. It’s in Huntsville, 20 miles straight north from me up Hwy. 45. Before one gets to Huntsville, there is an enormous Sam Houston statue on the side of the road. It towers over everything it is so tall, like tall tree tall. Naturally there is a Sam Houston museum there, too.
