Dan Coats is surrendering the argument, IMO. That’s all it is, an opinion.

MAKE DC LISTEN: TELL YOUR SENATORS TO OPPOSE CLOTURE ON H.J. RES 59
We must oppose cloture on H.J. Res 59, so that Harry Reid and Senate Democrats cannot sneak in funding for Obamacare. We need you to call your Senators right now: tell them to oppose cloture on H.J. Res 59 and remind them that a vote for cloture IS a for funding Obamacare.

Rush Limbaugh interviews Ted Cruz post-filibuster
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evaj4VMq3jQ
Enlighten yourself, Read Young’s bill! Your opinion might change.
I wish he would retire.
YouTube wishlist-—only if you stumble upon them. You’ve done more than enough already-—for which I am so appreciative.
If you find the YouTube for Lee’s discussion on SCOTUS re: ObamaCare (last night between 1-3 am, I think)
Also, this morning Roberts (I think) asked Cruz if he could offer amendments on ObamaCare, which amendments would he offer.
Cruz reading for an hour Rush’s father’s essay
There is a reason there are multiple plans. If one fails the back up(s) are already in place. Remember Reagan’s eleventh commandment of not bad mouthing fellow republicans. There was a reason he said what he said when he said it
The ideal solution would be a crossover vote by D to repeal the bill
Or
The SCOTUS would find it unconstitutional
Neither of those happened so the plan now is not to put all the eggs in one basket. Many eggs— many baskets of every size and shape
Don’t break your neighbors eggs cause you like your basket better
Think of Young and Coats as the bench waiting on the sideline with a different play just in case IMT don’t tell them not to dress for the game.
They may get the ball over the line with seconds to spare
Thanks, hadn’t thought of that.
no problem
did it work?
If they could not stand with Cruz, who obviously was giving voice to the people...then why should we expect them to stand for anything else with any degree of concern for the people?
They all need to be booted out of office...or no doubt a third party will come together with a grand exodus from the republican party, which is already underway IMO.
Haven’t done it yet, just saw your post.
Click the following for info on this vote. It was a Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to H.J.Res. 59. That will be voted on most likely either Friday or Sat.
I may have misheard - I think Cruz said it was Senate lunch room talk, but same result.
Always trying to cover their tracks one way or another. The fact it was basically a no show of Republicans in support of Cruz ....says all I need to know about Republicans. Those who supported him I will not forget.
Absolutely. If they won’t engage in the obamacare fight now they never will. It was a total MIA surrender party by the beltway GOP.
Hey Girlene & others! I stepped out for a few hours after Noon, hope you got the RNC number, but if not here is the one I use, they were more than happy & polite to hear my views regarding McCain & McConnel et al destroying the Republican party... 202-863-8700
Thanks!
