I smile every time he says Hoffa.
My wife has diabetes, and she qualified for insurance years ago. But after the ACA kicks in, my premium may rise to a point where I won’t be able to afford anything but the tax/penalty/whatever and end up with no insurance at all. I am, most unfortunately, a constituent of Durbin’s. I think I might drop him a few choice words about “Judy” versus my wife.
BTW, he’s well isolated from us ordinary Illinoisans. I had some Constitution Party friends who wanted to deliver a petition to him in person, and they were chased off the state capital grounds by officers with dogs, they were told it was federal property, couldn’t be approached by any impromptu visitors, even if they are legit constituents.
Durbin is a dumb-ass. Any good lawyer knows not to ask a question they already know the answer to. What a complete FOOL! Cruz just PWNED the hell out of him.
OMG, Cruz just absolutely destroyed Durbin. Battle of wits with an unarmed man. “For the record, I am eligible for the insurance but I do not participate in the plan.” “Judy isn’t in coach - she is in baggage.”

Judy went 62 years without health care. It is probably how she lived to 62. One of my grandmothers went 90 years without ever going to a hospital. She finally had to check into a hospital for the first time around 90 years old. She was dead within a year.
