The death toll from firearms in the US suggests that the country is gripped by civil war
The annual toll from firearms in the US is running at 32,000 deaths and climbing, even though the general crime rate is on a downward path (it is 40% lower than in 1980). If this perennial slaughter doesn't qualify for intercession by the UN and all relevant NGOs, it is hard to know what does.
But no nation sees itself as outsiders do. Half the country is sane and rational while the other half simply doesn't grasp the inconsistencies and historic lunacy of its position, which springs from the second amendment right to keep and bear arms, and is derived from English common law and our 1689 Bill of Rights. We dispensed with these rights long ago, but American gun owners cleave to them with the tenacity that previous generations fought to continue slavery.
There is absolutely nothing he (Obama) can do, which underscores the fact that America is in a jam and that international pressure may be one way of reducing the slaughter over the next generation. This has reached the point where it has ceased to be a domestic issue. The world cannot stand idly by.

Maybe we’ve stumbled on the ideal way of getting leftists to back off gun control by recognizing that guns are the preferred method of self-euthanasia.

And Wikipedia (I know, not exactly 100% accurate) says in 2010 there were 11,078 firearm related homicides and 19,392 suicides.
Yeah, smartass, that must be the reason. Youre so insightful.
Hit a nerve, Huh dumbass.
The Islamification of England is out of control...shouldn’t the world intervene?
Shouldn’t the third sentence end with a question mark?
And why is “Huh” capitalized?
:P
Like I said, something to keep people like you busy. Have a great day troll.

Apparently, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime doesn't consider Islamic terrorism to be "intentional homicide".
I learned to read before I even entered school. I loved it from the very beginning and read voraciously from the start. While in Elementary School, the teachers would quickly learn to exclude ONE particular student (*cough* me *cough*) so as to give "someone else a chance to win". Good writing and writers have always been a pleasure to read, and to see so many people in this day and age simply care so little about how they portray themselves when writing (or typing, as the case may be) is truly saddening. I would expect something such as that from someone still attempting to learn the proper useage of the English language, but the apparent uncaring attitude of 'whatever, dude' that comes across each time is simply beyond belief.
After several interactions with individuals concerning such mistakes, I firmly believe that they truly do NOT recognize the distinction between the spellings and become frustrated when anyone attempts to point it out to them.
And you have an interesting day yourself, Your Probiscus.
Thanks for your post 150.
It really is sad that so many Freepers have but the slightest grasp on the English language (including that ignoramus who snarled at me).
I think that one owes it to his readers to write correct English; to do otherwise is insulting. Additionally, to post material on this website in sub-standard English hurts FR’s reputation.
