I just know that if any SC senator belonged on the list it would have to be Graham, not Scott.

There’s some mistake here. WI Sen Johnson is Tea Party and I have an email from him saying he’s fighting Obamacare.

“””Now is the time to unite and fight to inform, persuade and win the argument, convincing the American people that Obamacare must be stopped.”””

All:

Please remember to say THANK YOU to your rep if they voted to defund obamacare. It’s the right thing to do and it’s effective because it’s so unusual for them to actually get a thank you. Phone calls are best, but faxes and e-mails or all three work as well.

You might also send a thank you to Speaker Boehner and Rep. Cantor. They did right and they should be praised for having done so.

Great. Then call (202-224-5323) and ask Sen Johnson if he OPPOSES cloture to stop Harry Reid's plan to fund Obamacare. Tell Sen Johnson a vote for cloture is a vote to fund Obamacare.

“And to my own party especially- I’m tired of kissing their asses to get them to do the right thing.”

I understand. But let you tell you my perspective: deathcare is a nation killer. I don’t view that as hyperbole, just simple fact. And I’m a patriot. So if what it takes to get rid of deathcare is kissing some asses, then what can I say? Line ‘em on up.

Pretty sad sign of the times that society is lowered enough to "retweet" (whatever the hell THAT is....) an agenda.

I'm kinda glad, for a change, that I'm 66 and not looking forward to many more decades of this silly bullshit.

Bullshit.
They are elected to do a job.
By patriots who care enough to campaign, donate and vote for them.
And they are paid and receive benefits paid for by patriots who work their asses off.

They enjoy doing whatever they feel like, while patriots get handed the bill for their fun.

They need to thank the patriots and do their damned jobs.
Instead of exempting their staff members and themselves from all that they impose on American patriots.

Well you can rest assured that no one in congress is undecided on ObamaCare. Each of them has known where they stand for years. They are just holding off publicizing their positions for obvious reasons.

So let’s ‘encourage’ them all to make their positions known for all to see.

Capital idea. One call does not a rebellion make. These socialists need to be hammered with calls, letters (that aren’t “form” letters) emails, twitter, etc., from everyone of us, multiple times.

Ayotte again. What do McCain & Graham have on her anyway? A parrot to their every utterance.

John Cornyn HAS to go, in Texas!

National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) has accused Senate Democrats of obstruction in a new fundraising pitch that touts the House’s passage of a government funding measure that defunds ObamaCare.

Moran, in the email, charges that “the Democratic-led Senate is failing to lead.”

“The Republican-led House of Representatives has acted, they’ve passed legislation that keeps the government open and enacts historic, common sense spending cuts. The House has done its part. House Republicans have governed and put up a fight worthy of the challenges facing our nation,” he writes.

He goes on to say that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) “find plenty of time for the cameras, but can’t seem to find the time to actually pass any laws.”

The email follows the Friday passage along party lines of the House GOP’s continuing resolution to fund the government.

Reports indicate Reid will strip the measure of the provision defunding ObamaCare and send it back to the House for another vote, where its fate is unclear.

Democrats have accused Republicans of moving toward a government shutdown with their attempts to defund ObamaCare as a part of the CR. The White House has said it will veto any bill that defunds the president’s signature health care law, and Senate Democrats have indicated the attempt is a non-starter in the upper chamber.

Republicans, however, have pushed back against the accusation that they want to shut down the government over the law, accusing Senate Democrats and President Obama of refusing to negotiate.

They’re arguing, as Moran did in the NRSC email, that they’ve taken steps to fund the government and that any shutdown ultimately lies in Democrats’ hands.

Moran asks supporters in the email to contribute funds to bring back a Republican majority in the Senate, because “the Senate Democrats are the ones who are failing to do anything but issue press releases.”

“This is why we need a new Senate Majority that can restore a once-proud institution and fix a broken Washington. We need to do the work now, to ensure that our children and grandchildren live in a prosperous, strong and free America,” he says.

As House Republicans prepare to vote this week on a continuing resolution that would defund Obamacare, several Senate Republicans continue to think they’re playing a losing hand.

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) told The Huffington Post that he still thinks demanding that President Barack Obama’s health care law be defunded in order to avoid a government shutdown is a “dumb idea,” as he deemed it last July.

“I said it was the dumbest idea I’d ever heard of,” Burr said. “I still think it’s a dumb idea, because you can’t defund Obamacare.”

The North Carolina Republican added that he hadn’t determined how he’d vote on a continuing resolution, because it wasn’t clear what type of bill Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) plans to bring to the floor. But a source close to Burr said he opposes a strategy that would tie an effort to defund the health care law to the government funding measure.

Fellow Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) never intended to vote for a continuing resolution in the first place, his office confirmed, because it would only be a temporary stopgap measure to keep the government running. And he won’t do so even if the House version defunding Obamacare makes its way to the Senate floor. But in a statement to The Huffington Post, his top spokesman John Hart said that Coburn continues to see the legislative strategy as a political dead end for the GOP, despite his desire to see the health care law repealed.

“Dr. Coburn is not inclined to support a CR regardless of what it says regarding Obamacare. He views CRs as a terrible and irresponsible way to govern,” said Hart. “He believes members are elected to make specific decisions, set priorities, conduct oversight, debate amendments and pass spending bills, which we haven’t done in years.

“On the CR, the [Congressional Research Service’s] finding is still true –- a government shutdown won’t shut down Obamacare. Unfortunately, this plan will delay the fight against Obamacare and lead to higher spending and a more entrenched health care law. President Obama has zero incentive to end his signature achievement while he has shown with his actions he is willing to accept changes. In fact, the bill has been modified on 19 separate occasions. As much as Dr. Coburn would like to immediately defund and replace and repeal the health care law we don’t have the leverage to do so and we are undermining better strategies by pretending we do.”

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), likewise, told HuffPost he was reluctant to sign onto the ‘Defund Obamacare’ effort being pushed by his fellow Republicans.

“I think it’s admirable that Sens. Cruz, Lee and Rubio have gotten us to this point. We’re talking about it at a national level,” he said, referencing the three senators who have led the push. “I unequivocally believe we should repeal Obamacare, but I’m just not sure this is the right way and that’s why I have been reluctant to sign onto their letter.”

And Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) shot down the idea during a Wednesday appearance on CNN.

“Let me say that I have heard so much concern about Obamacare and I have supported repealing it,” Ayotte said. “But I don’t think shutting down the government is productive. I think we should make every effort we can to make sure we stop this law, but I don’t believe they should shut down the government to do so, and I don’t think that is a strategy that is good for America.”

UPDATE: Sen. Sessions, through a spokesman, sent over a clarifying quote, noting that he supports any effort to defund Obamacare — including what the House is doing with the continuing resolution — but suggesting that there are other ways to do so.
