Speaking at a Ford auto plant in Missouri, the president compared the debt-ceiling debate to a consumer loan on a new Ford F150 truck.
“This is important,” Mr. Obama said. “Raising the debt ceiling is not the same as approving more spending.
Plowing ahead, Mr. Obama said, “I — you don’t say, well, I’m not going — I’m not going to pay my — my — my bill, my note for my truck because I’m going to save money. No, you’re not saving money. You already bought the truck, right? You have to pay the bills. You — you are not — you’re not saving money.”
“You — you might have decided at the front end not to buy the truck,” Mr. Obama said. “But once you bought the truck, you can’t say you’re saving money just by not paying the bills. Does that make sense?”

He was given his grades like he’s been given everything else. His mistake was speaking at a Ford Plant....he’d have been more at home at a GM Plant.

And to add on... if I bought a truck and learned I couldn’t afford it I’d return it.
The problem is that Congress really didn't buy that truck asshole. You did, you and the Federal Reserve and all that ether money you are creating out of nothing. This is YOUR EFFING BILL, CRETIN.
Poor analogy- probably works with the low info people. At some point you have to make a decision to stop buying the trucks. Just because you want to distribute the trucks to all you buddies, does not mean you keep borrowing money you don't have and buying.
Obama now sounds like a stark-raving, crazy man. Does he have an amoeba eating at his brain? Never mind his college transcripts...I want to see his medical records! Does he have to submit his medical records to anyone to prove his ability to serve as POTUS?
Those who refuse to borrow are deadbeats, and those that counterfeit wealth are investors.

Ford’s sales are UP as a reward from their customers because they didn’t take the ‘bailout’. Those standing behind Obama should know that. But his minions in the MSM will credit Obama for saving and growing Ford’s sales.
Debt has a price. Can anyone in the audience tell what the Fed interest payments are? Just wait until they start to go up. I plan to mock the Millenials who voted for this disaster when they get their just desserts.
And what he said made perfect sense to 90% of the “noble workers” who were gathered to hear him speak at the Kansas City Assembly Plant. During the 1980s, 90s, and early 2000s I spent considerable time at that plant launching new product. I learned early on that a majority of the “noble workers” employed there are rabid leftist goonioists. Many of their first level supervision are also rabid leftists. In one instance several members of the launch team were working late into the evening trying to find a solution to a problem we had discovered in process. A “noble worker” stood watching us and finally stated, “I got a better job then you guys, I don’t have to do all that thinkin’.”
