A University of Central Florida police officer is under investigation after video of a traffic stop surfaced, showing a student's car window shatter after he claimed she started to roll it up on his hand.
The traffic stop happened Wednesday, Sept. 4 along Gemini Boulevard on the UCF campus.
Video from UCF Police Officer Timothy Isaacs's lapel camera showed him pull over Victoria King for a broken brake light. King, who was 25 at the time, said the car was her mother's, and she did not have the vehicle's registration card.
After Isaacs processed King's information and walked back to her car to give her a ticket, King, who was identified as a UCF student, became upset and refused to roll down the window when the officer asked multiple times.
When she refused to roll down her window all the way, Isaacs then asked King to step out of the car. The video showed King asking the officer what law said that she must obey those orders. Isaacs told her she was being detained for a traffic infraction, and warned her he would break the window if she didn't comply.
Isaacs then put his hand on the top of the window, which was rolled down about a quarter of the way. After he did that, Isaacs said King started to roll up the window on his arm, prompting him to shatter the car window.
"I forcefully pulled my arm back and broke the window due to the defendant's blatant disregard to all of the orders that were given to her, and her attempt to close the window on my arm," Isaacs wrote in an arrest affidavit.
After shattering the window, Isaacs and another responding UCF police officer grabbed King's arms and took her out of the vehicle. Isaacs said King continued to resist arrest as they got her out of the car and put her in handcuffs.
King was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer -- one count of resisting with violence, and a second count for resisting without violence.
She has since filed a formal complaint against Isaacs. In the video, King said she was bleeding.
Isaacs also wrote in the arrest report that King told officers she was having a miscarriage, but after a medic arrived, it was discovered that King did not know for sure whether or not she was pregnant. King refused transport to a hospital, Isaacs said.
UCF said it would not comment on the incident, since the investigation was ongoing.
Sadly, his LEO buddy will corroborate his story, and this girl will likely pay a hefty sum of probation fees for supposedly committing battery on the LEO.
I am NOT condoning her behavior, but when the onus is on law enforcement to remain professional, this campus cop was anything but.
She’s lucky he didnt shoot her.

someone tries to close a window on my hand....
do I instinctively retract my hand as fast as possible? or grab the window and smash it...?
Make the ‘officer’ pay for it out of his own pocket, and fire his ass.
I am NOT anti-police, my son is a trooper and I was in the police in the air force and my brother is FBI
I hate bad officers
Here's a rule of thumb you would be well advised to learn: When a cop in the performance of his duty gives you a lawful order to do something, you'd be an a-hole asking for trouble not to do it.
admits he did it on purpose
Woman is Guilty.
The LEO here did exactly the right thing... breaking the window was deliberate, in a vein (no pun...) to prevent injury of a partially open window being rolled up on him.
Like turn in your guns? That "lawful order" thing is not quite as cut and dried as you try to make it seem.
She sounds like a spoiled brat. Rolling the window up on his hand was not ok, and she’s lucky all he did was crack it. I lived near UF Gainesville, and these kids despised campus security and felt it was their right to tear through the middle of campus in the fast car that Daddy had bought them. The girls were probably the worst.
I would say that instinct would be wrong - trying to retract your fingers is great if you succeed. If you don’t, you can be seriously injured. I’ve seen some real horrible pictures of what happens when a ring is caught in machinery; the effect could be similar here. Or he’s just trapped in the door. I suspect their training may be to smash the window in that situation.
This is one where I side with the officer, unlike several we’ve seen lately. It looks to me like she was just balking at receiving the citation. And claiming to be having a miscarriage when not even sure she was pregnant? Seems pretty fishy to me.
I’m 12 for 12 with bad interactions with cops, whether pulled over for a minor infraction or reporting a crime.
Cops just raise revenue for the welfare state in my personal experience.
I’m glad I clicked-through. The look on her face is pure win.
IF, IF she was rolling up the window on his hand, in the course of him trying to give/hand her the ticket, i have no problem with him breaking the window.
it was a ticket for a minor vehicle problem. she should have said nothing, taken the ticket, and left.
It was rolled down far enough for him to put his arm in. Just how far does it have to be down to hand her the ticket? Was he trying to cop a feel? In Louisiana a vehicle is an extension of your home and a cop has no right to enter the vehicle in any way without a warrant or your permission. He should have just kept his hands to himself.
Yeah, if you're a boot-licker.
well now, I advise people never to roll down the window more than just enough to stick their license out and keep the doors locked because once you are out of the car the cops can really mess you up.
Off topic a little-
What is it with some women thinking they don’t have to obey police?
I mean legitimate stuff not crazy over the top orders.
I think some women live in their own little world where their sex has always been armor plating.
Some of them seem to think interacting with a cop during a traffic stop is the same as interacting with any other man.
It’s always ‘I don’t have to listen to you’ and ‘you can’t tell me what to do’ and ‘don’t you touch me’.
And then comes the ‘slap’ on their part that takes their day to a place they’ve apparently never been before.
Oh, and I for got to mention
Black female driver + White male cop = RACIST!!!!
(You know it’s coming)
