A journalism professor at the University of Kansas (KU) turned to Twitter on Monday to suggest he would like to see the murder of children of National Rifle Association (NRA) members at the hands of a deranged gunman.
#NavyYardShooting The blood is on the hands of the #NRA, tweeted David Guth, who is an associate professor of Journalism at the universitys William Allen White School of Journalism.
Speaking with Campus Reform on Wednesday, Guth confirmed it was he who sent the controversial tweet.
Hell no, hell no, I do not regret that Tweet, he said. I don't take it back one bit.
Guth also doubled down on the statement when other Twitter users pressed him, suggesting it was was shameful to call for the death of children.
Gods justice takes many forms, he tweeted in response.

Give me 3 mins with him, in a locked 8’ x 10’ room, with a baseball bat. Bring a squeegee.
I could donate some life vests for the occasion. I only have enough for you, a small crew, photographers, chum distributor, cheering section, caterers, a biographer, and whatever other people you want to bring along. But no matter how I calculate it, I always come up one life vest short. I’d be happy to donate my husband’s next bucket of lead weights to construct one more vest.
Freedom of speech comes with responsibility. I am sure he has a responsibility to the University that compels him not to wish the murder of anyone's children to support his political and moral viewpoints.
Anyone have an NRA contact in the Kansas area?
This sure is a huge red flag that David Guth might pose a danger.
This dude looks like he’s about one oreo shy of landing in one of the First Lady’s soon-to-be built fat camps.
And I hope that the employee of the university meets up alone with an unarmed homicidal maniac with powerful hands.. er, and based upon the photo of the employee, very long fingers.
Ks Rifle Association JUST issued a demand for his removal.
Just in case any of you would like to contact the Board of Regents:
Kansas Board of Regents
1000 SW Jackson Street, Suite 520
Topeka, KS 66612-1368
785.296.3421 | fax 785.296.0983
The NRA should issue a demand for his removal.
Typical hypocritical leftist.
The university just contacted me and said that the Chancellor’s office is aware of the tweet and is the entity that will be handling the issue.
Waiting with baited breath.....
This sick person needs to be placed in a rubber room at his nearest psychiatric hospital.
Alway IMHO, of course........
What do you have against Katherine Timpf?
If a maniac were to murder being inspired by the employee of the university would the doctrine of vicarious liability apply?
Too bad for him, most NRA members don’t live in Chicago.
KU has a daycare on campus...?
Why yes, it does
I suspect some of those children have parents who are NRA members
KU is a lost cause. It has already poisoned Lawrence (little Moscow). Any native Kansan knows this.
Uh-oh. There are children at the day-care center where this guy works that are threatened.
That raises another question: If a maniac were to murder being inspired by the employee of the university would the doctrine of vicarious liability apply to the university?
