They can’t shift seamlessly if you don’t let them.
The shotgun only story broke yesterday afternoon on the local DC NBC affiliate. I used the story to beat a couple Libs senseless on FB yesterday evening. Basically stomped on their figurative feet and kept doing so so they couldn’t easily withdraw. Other than to play the we’re taking our ball and going home card.

I have yet to see one picture of a victim, is it because maybe they are all white, or have i just not seen the pictures yet.

I think at one point it was an AR-15 shotgun.Actually, it was an automatic AR-15 assault shotgun with silencer and a clip that holds 150 bullets.

It used to be that everything was a Glock. Now, it’s AR-15 because that looks cooler when typed and sounds more important when spoken.

Yeah... that works. :-) I tell ya... when I got back CONUS from being in England it was strange. I still haven't completely adjusted. One small example is the word napkin. In England, a napkin is a feminine product. To this day, if we're eating and I need to wipe something off, I ask for a PAPER TOWEL. I have a real mental block to speaking the word napkin. Ditto for pants. I was in an office one day talking to a good looking middle aged lady who was wearing a rather colorful outfit, when a buddy of mine came in and stopped... looked at her, and said, "Nice pants!". Talking about embarrassing! In England "pants" are underwear, and more specifically if you're talking to a female, they're panties. Sheesh... He should have said, "Nice trousers! But in truth, he should have just kept his mouth shut. He was a bit of a masher anyway. The lady thought her underwear was visible through the trousers.
Also, Americans toss around the word "bloody" and think it's funny, but I wince when I hear it. In England that is a pretty serious swear word. We were in a family restaurant one day and a lady had a couple of kids with her... two boys... looked to be about 12 or so. One did something to the other and the other muttered, Bloody hell! The Mom overheard this and jumped up and slapped that boy all the way to the door!... and then beat him properly once she had him outside! They came back in a few minutes later, and the boys were just a little better behaved.
I still have to be VERY careful when driving in parking lots and close places. If I "panic" and have to act quickly, there's a very good chance I'll go to the left. :-)
Anyway... yeah... hard to top "wanker". LOL! :-)

Words MEAN things!!! Hahah!!!
I had a buddy I worked with years ago - he was Scotland. I use to mess with him a lot because of his accent.
One day being the wise0ass I am, I said to him “Scotland... that’s like a COUNTY in England, right??”
His eyes got REAL wide, His eyebrows all a-twitchy, he says “GOOD HEAVENS MAN!!! DON”T EVEN MENTION THOSE TWO WORDS IN THE SAME BREATH!!!”
Hahaha!!
Another word difference: He told me being “pissed’ means being drunk; I explained being “pissed” over here means being angry. He just didn’t get it...

Oh my... yeah... that's a good way to get a Scot riled up! ...and yes, getting "pissed" does mean to get drunk. To say, "You're taking the mick." means "You're kidding me." To "Knock somebody up" means to wake them up early. A buddy of mine told me he'd "Knock me up in the morning" once, and by the look on my face he knew I didn't perceive exactly what he had told me correctly. :-) He had to explain it to me.
Also... there's a very common saying that you and I would use. It is "What have you been up to?" Every Briton I ever ran into to whom I said that thought it was mildly offensive. A good friend of mine told me that it was an "intrusive" question... a bit too personal. Instead, they would say, "How have you been?" Or in passing, it's just a single word, "Alright?!"... meaning "Are you alright?"
They thought it was funny that we called the bathroom a "bathroom". They commonly call that room "The toilet", or the toilet is simply "The loo", or "The bog". :-)
