...Whoever votes to shut down the government just to save Obamacare has the losing side of the political battle on this one. Shut it down and let’s see who caves....

It is important to avoid projecting one’s own enthusiasms on the broader public. The ACA isn’t popular, but it is more popular than denying grandma her social security check and the wives and children of soldiers in the AfPak theater their paychecks and a million other things that the mainstream media will seize upon. Whatever the echo chamber of FR leads you to believe, the country won’t be behind Cruz and Co. on this hopeless crusade.

Did you not hear POTUS yesterday taunting the “extreme right” to go ahead and make his day? A shutdown is precisely what he wants. It saved Billie Jeff’s chestnuts in 1998 and it will save this charlatan’s in 2013. Don’t fall for this trap again.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

You are wrong. When Gingrich was speaker and the govn. shut down, Clinton said, “The era of big government is over”. He then cooperated with Gingrich to reform welfare and that reform caused people to go back to work and get off the dole. It was Gingrich who turned the country around at that time.

You really need to go elsewhere. And, where do you get off saying “Whatever the echo chamber of FR leads you to believe,” Yes, you need to leave, like right now.

Hey, pal. If you do not wish to support our fight against unconstitutional big government then please post elsewhere. Defeatism is not welcome here.

This time is different - 0bamacare is not a mere wish for the statists, it’s ultimate control of the American people and if we don’t fight now, then when?

Will we win this battle? Maybe not but hell if I am going to be cowed by this corrupted culture and it’s hyenas in the Lamestream Media.

I do believe we are making a difference via speaking out - talking with friends, relatives and utilizing social media.

We have a champion in Ted Cruz and while I do not fawn over, much less worship, a mere mortal man, folks here in Texas worked their asses off to get him elected to do what he is doing right now. Hopefully we get more like him up there in the District of Corruption in ‘14.

A third party? Hell, we need a second and it’s coming to life now! It’s time to take a stand and call out loudly what needs to be called out on or else we will lose. Everything.

Failure to enact a CR will not deny grandma her SS check. It will simply throw sand in the gears of gubmint leaches who vote 'Rat in any case and therefore do not matter.

Recall that the major criticism of defunding was that mandatory spending would continue nonetheless. However, it's perfectly possible to write a CR that will defund ZeroCare in its entirety while still acting as a normal CR for everything else. And I dare say, you don't even have to be as smart as Ted Cruz (although I wouldn't want to try it by myself). The House should pass such a CR and leave it up to Zero and Dingy Harry's Senate to respond.

Will Zero shut down the government? Or won't he? And why should I care?
