Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
One of the shooters is “down,” police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.
One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

A Navy LT is an officer, a chief petty officer is an NCO. Either that’s not him, he is lying about his rank on linkedin, or the media has his rank incorrect. I’m guessing the latter.

I saw a guy there holding a sign that said “Disgruntled employees needed for mass shooting. Inquire within!”
Yep- saw that..we’re just used to finding crazy FB or other website postings that I’m expecting that.
I guess it’s possible this guy is a loner and the other two are undercover leo or normal armed citizens. UNLESS witnesses corroborate seeing these guys shooting.
IF there ARE two more- where are the other victims and why aren’t they out there creating more mayhem..

Let’s see...so far, Chance has been identified as a Chief Petty Officer (E-7); Chief Warrant Officer and a LT (O-3). True, that may reflect his advancement—probably commissioned as a limited duty officer (LDO). But I’m sure it’s also a reflection of the media’s typical feeding frenzy and their near-total lack of knowledge of anything involving the U.S. military.
Give it another hour or so...Chance will be at least a Captain, maybe a Rear Admiral, by then.
Yep, the rush to get the info out w/o checking and waiting for confirmation, will do that....
