“In My Time of Dying” LZ
In my time of dying, want nobody to mourn
All I want for you to do is take my body home
Well, well, well, so I can die easy [X2]
Jesus, gonna make up my dyin’ bed.
Meet me, Jesus, meet me. Meet me in the middle of the air
If my wings should fail me, Lord. Please meet me with another pair
Well, well, well, so I can die easy [X2]
Jesus, gonna make up.. somebody, somebody...
Jesus gonna make up... Jesus gonna make you my dyin’ bed
Oh, Saint Peter, at the gates of heaven... Won’t you let me in
I never did no harm. I never did no wrong
Oh, Gabriel, let me blow your horn. Let me blow your horn
Oh, I never did, did no harm.
Thank you! :-)

The words to “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” were written by Ada Ruth Habershon, an Englishwoman who associated with the highly influential American evangelists Ira Sankey and Ruben Torrey. The music was composed by the great Methodist hymn writer Charles Gabriel. The song was published in 1907.
However, the version that is best known today originated in the 1920’s. This is the one performed by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and others.
Here are Ada Ruth Habershon’s original words:
There are loved ones in the glory,
Whose dear forms you often miss;
When you close your earthly story,
Will you join them in their bliss?
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, by and by?
In a better home awaiting
In the sky, in the sky?
In the joyous days of childhood,
Oft they told of wondrous love,
Pointed to the dying Savior
Now they dwell with Him above.
You remember songs of heaven
Which you sang with childish voice,
Do you love the hymns they taught you,
Or are songs of earth your choice?
You can picture happy gatherings
Round the fireside long ago,
And you think of tearful partings,
When they left you here below:
One by one their seats were emptied,
One by one they went away;
Here the circle has been broken
Will it be complete one day?
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, by and by?
In a better home awaiting
In the sky, in the sky?

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...hope your back is behaving and your commutes went well.
I was attacked by a bug before even leaving work last night. Finally got a couple hours sleep late this afternoon. Hope it’s just “24” hour.
Thanks, Fiji, for the back story, or front story as the case may be.
Thanks, unique, for the music guys!

Life Without You
Stevie Ray Vaughan (writer and singer)
Oo oo now baby....
Tell me how have you been
We all have missed you....
And the way you grin
The day is necessary....
Every now and then
For souls to move on....
Givin’ life back again, and again
Fly on fly on....
Fly on my friend
Go on
Live again
Love again
...
Life without you
All the love you passed my way
The angels have waited for so long
Now they have their way
Take your place....
