The Hatch Act is from 1939. Times were a bit different then, and the world was facing something quite different from today. And maybe even then it wasn’t so great, who knows. But just because a law has been on the books since 1939 doesn’t mean it is a good or constitutional law.

The Hatch Act is from 1939 and put into place by the communist President FDR, but it does not and has never applied to military personnel.
