In rural Lavaca County, Texas, a grand jury refused to indict a father who, when he caught a farm hand attempting to rape his five-year-old daughter, beat the farm hand, accidentally killing him. The incident took place on June 9, near Shiner, Texas. Someone alerted the little girls father that Jesus Flores, a farmhand, was seen carrying the little girl to a secluded area.
The father took off in the direction that the farmhand was seen traveling. As he drew closer, he could hear his little girl screaming. When he reached the two, both the farmhand and the five-year-old had their underwear off. The father promptly beat Flores into unconsciousness.
Members of the Lavaca County prosecutor's office announce that an unnamed man will not be prosecuted for killing man who was attempting to rape his daughter.
Only after he was certain that Flores was no longer a threat either to himself or to the little girl did the father place an anguished 911 call seeking help for Flores. Practically weeping, he said to the 911 reporter I need an ambulance. This guy was raping my daughter, and I beat him up, and I dont know what to do. *** Come on! This guy is going to die on me. I dont know what to do.
Although the county classified Flores death as a homicide, the Lavaca grand jury declined to indict him, saying that it was justified homicide. In Texas, deadly force is justified in order to prevent an aggravated sexual assault.
The fathers community was very supportive of him. In Texas, justice is swift and sure, and a child rapist caught in the act by an enraged father doesnt have many rights.
There's a video at the website.
‘...accidentally killing him.’
Yay a good news report.
texas... one of the few states left with common sense
He won’t be a repeat offnder.
He needed killing.
He needed killin’
There is a lot to like about Texas, this is one example.
I so want to move to Texas.
This post brought tears to my eyes. Really. I’m so happy to know that in some places in our God forsaken country common sense still prevails. God bless that grand jury.

“Don’t mess with Texas”
LMAO.
I’d have probably messed up and just got the trackhoe and buried him or fed him to the hogs.
I wouldn’t waste my time calling 911 and I dang sure would not have been anguished about beating the thug to death if I did call.
Not arguing that.
Just taking exception the ‘accidentally’.
Which is OK if the grand jury thought so, though.
This ain’t over until AG Holder says it is. Does the ranch hand with a Hispanic sounding name have family?
As such, the feds will swoop in and charge the father with murder.
....maybe, but Holder will still have to select a jury pool from the area..................
not a chance in hell he would win and he knows it
And, how white was he?
