Other leg cramp tips are whenever they hit take rapid deep breaths to get oxygen into your blood stream ASAP, (try to) RELAX (it’s hard) and rub the cramped muscles vigorously to promote blood flow. They are a plague of my profession and often wake me up. They seldom happen when not at rest and they hit like lightening bolts (more like an axe amputating my legs). Getting to your feet or sitting up with feet on the floor helps get blood to the calves (gravity is a wonderful thing), but it gets more difficult as I get older. Sometimes I just lay and moan until they pass. Good luck.

Thanks, spel....tomorrow I am on a quest for bananas and potassium. Not diabetic, so will be reading labels.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen potassium at Costco, etc, so may need the health food store.

But....online WalMart shows Potassium Gluconate. My destination for both vitamins and bananas...WalMart on the morrow. Hopefully the leg cramps, becoming more frequent in my “aging”, will be banished.

Another source of Potassium is Tomatoes - so go have some pizza, or even better, pasta with a nice Marinara sauce! Wash it down with a nice Chianti or Rhone!
