Why did photos of a teenage girl performing oral sex on a boy in a field become the second worldwide trending topic on Twitter on Monday? And why were there endless jokes, insults and disapprobation slung her way, and not at the boy concerned?
The incident happened during an Eminem concert at Slane Castle in Ireland. And immediately the girl was branded a slut online with hashtags: 'slanegirl' and 'slaneslut' fast becoming trends.

The underage girl, no doubt stoned or high at the Eminem concert, gave a stranger, albeit a cute one, a "freebie" in broad daylight amid hundreds of people. She wasn't raped or forced into the act. She didn't care during the act when dozens of boys jeered and cheered her on. And later she gets depressed when she's called a sl-t?
If the picture had been posted, but she was labeled a hottie, would she have felt no shame? Jezebel.com has more facts on the actual story (easy to find using google) and it appears that the gal, ahem, "pleasured" not one but two guys. I bet it isn't the first time she'd done sex acts in public with strangers.

Probably, but the gal was 17 and she did the same act on two men, both strangers. I hardly think that distribution of the very public act it the most serious matter here.

I was a teen in the 90s (Pre Monica) and even the slang term for this was never spoken out loud without it being shocking.

But I was a wild lad in the early 70s till early 80s
and attended many festival type shows around the US
up to half million or so
this sort of thing from being high or drunk or tripping
and skinny dipping, nudity, blowjobs, group sex, orgies, and gang bangs are not the least bit new
it was not uncommon then either
difference now is it's on someones smart phone posted to the world in real time and the kids are more likely inked up and pierced...and back then the girl couldn't claim voluntary but high sex was rape the next day

the writer is complaining about the lac of monitoring by the social media, how about the lack of monitoring by the parents of all parties involved?
