I want a third party. I am done pretending there’s meaningful difference between the Democratic and GOP parties, and I offer the Bushes, McCain and Romney as Exhibits A, B, C and D. I think if a charismatic and principled leader such as Ted Cruz ran on a third-party ticket in 2016 he could get a 34 percent plurality victory.
There really is only one party currently, and it’s called the establishment party. Every election year the supposed two parties run around the country with their pretend differences but in the end they do whatever their establishment overlords tell them to do whether its ObamaCare or immigration reform.
I want a third party.
Bump!
Right on. There's the political elite ruling class which lives under one set of laws, then there's the rest of us who live under another.
You and I would never get away with the criminal activity that Congress and this President, Vice President, and Cabinet officials get away with on a daily basis.
But then, they live by a different set of laws (that they passed for themselves) than we do now don't they?
It's high time that changed --- one way or another. I'd prefer it happens at the ballot box but if that's taken away from us (as I fear it has been) then we may have to execute the other option in the spirit of our Founding Fathers.
I do not know what it will take to get the rest of FR to agree but we either do or the outcome is obvious.
Folks, I am as sick of saying it as many of you are of hearing me say it. Until we get our own house right here in order and on the same page, we are N E V E R going to do shxT to straighten out America.
We have an abundance of compromising idiots defending the GOP here daily and interfering with anything that may result in people coming together to either form another party, move to another current one or anything else. All we hear is cant, wont, you support Obama, youre drunk and 80 million other EXCUSES.
We have a short time to make a collective decision. Lesser evil with the GOP that gets us Obamacare and Amnesty...
Or not.
Choices must be made. Now while a sliver of a chance remains.
The (R) and (D) parties are like Coke and Pepsi. They are so similar they defy a taste test. They sell themselves as being something different, but they are each happy to hold on to their current market share and will work together to keep Dr. Pepper out of their house.
It wouldn't be a "third party." Since there's realistically not a dimes worth of difference between the R's and D's, wouldn't it really be a second party?
CALLING SARAH PALIN TO A YELLOW COURTESY PHONE....
There would never ever be a BETTER time for her or Ted Cruz to call these a$$holes bluff by forming a NEW PARTY.
I'd be in faster than a speeding bullet.
Yes, but even if we got 10 Ted Cruzes, and none of them succumbed to being co-opted by the GOPe, it wouldn’t be enough to overcome the juggernaut the “two parties” are rolling over the country. The Supreme Court has supported sodomite marriage, upheld Husseincare, and other offenses against the Constitution and the will of the people. I realise now that the House has felt safe to hold symbolic votes against Obamacare, because they knew the Senate would safeguard it. They showed their true colors with their stance on yet another amnesty vote (notice they never give up when they want something, but they give us the “not pragmatic” spiel when they don’t).
