The Syrian government said it has discovered chemical agents in tunnels in Damascus after the killing of hundreds of Syrians in a suspected chemical weapons attack.
Syrian state television said government soldiers found chemical agents in rebel tunnels in the Damascus suburb of Jobar on Saturday and some of the troops were suffocating.
"Army heroes are entering the tunnels of the terrorists and saw chemical agents," state television quoted a source as saying. "In some cases, soldiers are suffocating while entering Jobar."
"Ambulances came to rescue the people who were suffocating in Jobar," the broadcaster said, adding that an army unit was preparing to storm the suburb where rebels fighting to oust the president, Bashar al-Assad, are based.

A bit difficult to understand why Assad would feel the need to kill what are effectively civilian populations with nerve agents. The potential for it to galvanize international interference would seem a great risk.
On the other hand the “rebels” are a motley mix of characters that include people certainly capable of trying to buy international sympathy by pulling a stunt like this.

They are using the same tactics on Assad that they used on the Israelis. To wit: Stage a incident. Film it. Make an accusation. Give the film to their allies in the media.

I find it intriguing that in the old testament God would often destroy Israel’s enemies by having them fight amongst themselves, and what do we see in Egypt and Syria in our modern times?... Psalm 38 is supposed to be a Prophecy about Damascus being destroyed and uninhabitable... leaking chemical weapons stockpiles?
One thing Assad is not, is dumb. To use chemical weapons when the world community is already itching to hang you is the dumbest of the dumb. I’m not buying it.
Considering that we are correct...the rebels (AQ, Hezbollah, and other factions) actually murdered by horrific methods possibly a 1,000 + innocent people including children to force Obama and the world to take their side...and our government actually support them...

I think they consider the end to justify the means. One only has to look at the millions over the years that the communists have murdered to achieve their goals. Look what Hitler and his followers have done. Pol Pot as well. Rwanda? A few thousand innocents in Syria is nothing compared to what they are capable of to meet their goals.
