President Obama has “contributed to [Egypt's] descent into chaos” by providing foreign aid to the military regime while maintaining an otherwise “detached and abstract” position, according to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who called for an end to financial support.
“President Obama’s detached and abstract statement yesterday on deteriorating conditions in Egypt is only the most recent manifestation of this administration’s failed policy in that country,” Cruz said.
“As there can no longer be any reasonable doubt that what occurred in July was a military coup, the first step is to send an unequivocal message that the United States is a nation of laws and suspend aid to Egypt,” he said.

Ted Cruz is a big mouth dope here...we should be backing the Egyptian military. The Muzzy brotherhood does not want us backing Egypt’s military. This situation is easy to figure out.
The Christians in Egypt want us to support the military. The Muzzlim brotherhood burned 20 churches yesterday
We should not be funding or arming either side.
And the Military is much better armed than the MB right now.
According to this Cruz seems to be saying we should cut off the military and hand it back over to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Cruz is right about ohaha, but he is wrong about the Egyptian military. morsi’s boys are busy burning down Christian churches and businesses and homes as we speak.
Many of the so-called ‘massacred’ civilians were mb supporters killed by mb to produce bodies for propaganda and the live thread has pics that prove it. They set the fire at the mosque to burn the bodies so there would be no forensic evidence of how they were killed. Others they killed were found piled and hidden in various places waiting for the moment to show them to reporters.

I think you are correct, however, Senator Cruz needs to be very careful here. There is plenty of doubt that this is a Military coup.
I like Ted a whole big bunch, but he needs to prove that he is an independent thinker here. Right now.

Cruz is not defending the Muslim Brotherhood, he is defending the rule of law in our country. I suggest you and others should do the same, and not try to determine who is in power in what countries.
American law says not military support for military regimes that come to power by coup d’état. If you don’t like that law, change it. But it is the law and Cruz is right.
American law says no support to military regimes that come to power via coup d’état. Are you okay when Obama doesn’t enforce other laws, too?
How about we follow our laws, ahead of determining who is in power in what countries?
American law is what matters, not what is good or bad for which Muslim groups around the world.

The GOP should be concentrating their fire on the person who helped turn out Mubarak and bring the Muslim Brotherhood to power - Hillary Clinton. Tie the brotherhood around her neck. Forger Obama, can’t do anything about him, but the trouble in Egypt started on her watch and she supported the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Muslims are doing what they do best, killing each other just keep our troops out of there.

Obama needs to obey the law in this matter or change it if he wants to fight the MB with aid to the Egyptian government.
The Egyptian army is doing a good job with Saudi backing right now.
