In the wake of a rodeo clowns anti-Obama skit this weekend, the Missouri State Fair is forcing all clowns to undergo sensitivity training.
The state fair commission voted Monday to ratify the decision to ban the clown in question who wore an Obama mask as the rodeo announcer asked if the crowd wanted to see him get run down by a bull. The crowd enthusiastically approved, according to local media reports.
But the state commission went further, saying it will require that before the Rodeo Cowboy Association can take part in any future state fair, they must provide evidence to the director of the Missouri State Fair that they have proof that all officials and subcontractors of the MRCA have successfully participated in sensitivity training.

Fallout continues as Mark Ficken resigned as President of the MRCA. Ficken was also the announcer at the rodeo and also is the superintendent of the Boonville School District.
Those who are “outraged” by the clown need some desensitization therapy along with a complementary session of anger management.
The House and Senate need to add “Staff Clown” to the directory.... Seems like it would be unfair to deny current members of this august body the opportunity to take on the assignment... They could simply double-dip while holding office...
It's like a metaphor dressed in the literal wrapped in a symbol.
Isn't the mark of a despotic regime its need to vilify the most powerless, most easily denigrated members of society? A rodeo clown! I don't see the same bulls eye on, say a fire-breathing hate-speech filled America-despising imam.
Better yet, just cancel future state fairs to eliminate the possibility of offending anyone.
Maybe go on the Leno Going Away Show, or the Alex Jones News Hour, or the Levin Show.... The Q&A should get spicy....
A few years ago at a Seattle parade, there was a truck with an effigy of Bush followed by people with a wagon full of rotten fruit, which was repeatedly thrown at the effigy of Bush. No one was reprimanded, there were no editorials denouncing the activity, and no one had to attend sensitivity training.
Sensitivity Training!? For clowns and cowboys??
This is insane.
Is there ANYTHING that these worthless bastard libs haven’t contaminated???
Had a clown put on some sort of Brokeback Mountain skit, I am sure these faggots would have been fine with it.
Had to double-check this wasn’t The Onion
I will get slammed for this, but I think the activity was inappropriate and the persons responsible should be fired. A public rodeo with a captive audience should not be turned into a partisan political event, particularly a crude one of this nature. I should hasten to add that I detest Obama, but this is not the way to express it.
I’ve known a few PRCA cowboys. They stick together. I think that the State Fair guys have gone too far and will experience a cowboy-cott at next year’s fair.
Yep, you should be slammed for that. Political satire has been a part of rodeos since rodeo began.
We are to the point where a CLOWN can’t make fun of th president?!!
Stop this crazy world! I want to get off!
The other side has changed the rules for “civility”. I have no respect for lawless tyrants.
The MRCA should tell the State Fair Board to drop dead. No rodeo clowns = no rodeo = State Fair attendance plummets.
Whatta bunch of maroons.
Ever hear of Will Rogers?
Political satire is staple rodeo fair, since forever. This is not the first president mask worn by a rodeo clown.
Yeah, but that was just a subtle frolic intended to highlight nuanced policy disagreements with the Bush administration. Since no one could possibly disagree with any obama policies - Racists!
I think it was very appropriate and the persons responsible should get a raise. Different strokes for different folks.
Exactly when did it become off limits for clowns to mock sitting presidents?
