I’d like to plug one I wrote but haven’t published yet... “That Cowboy’s Weird.” You’ll just have to imagine how it goes (although the chorus can be sung like “Bury Me Not On The Lone Prairie”).

That Cowboy’s Weird

[chorus]
That cowboy’s weird,
Oh they say he’s weird,
From his snake skin boots
To his scraggly beard;
Though he grew up hard,
Only God he feared,
And everywhere he went,
They’d say “That cowboy’s weird.”

Some say he came from Tennessee,
Others say a mean Texas farm;
Showed his hardscrabble marks
But neither man nor beast he harmed;
Never cracked or struck with a bull whip
‘Cause cattle knew him when he called;
Never lost a single head
Till they were safe within the walls.

[chorus]

One day he showed up at a rodeo,
The people were laughing “What a fool!”
They told him, “Here’s your critter!”
And sat him on the meanest bull;
Out of the chute they shot,
Then the crowd all gasped;
That bull stopped in its tracks
And stood there calmly in his grasp.

Then the bull it knelt as though to pray
And the crowd it stood and roared;
But that weird old cowboy
Just quietly gave thanks to the Lord;
“A righteous man’s kind to his beast”
He long knew from the Holy Book;
Some said St. Francis watched over him
But he only said to God he looked!

[Chorus]

[Coda]
And everywhere he went, they’d say “That cowboy’s weird!”

Kathy
The one my dad taught me 80 years ago. "When the work is done this fall". I know many more, but this by far my favorite.
The very best to you and yours.
