Members of the New Haven community are up in arms as rocker Ted Nugent gets ready to play at the legendary Toad’s Place Tuesday night evening.
More than 2,700 community members have signed a Change.org petition asking Toad’s Place to cancel Nugent's 7:30 p.m. show in the wake of several controversial remarks he has allegedly made about Trayvon Martin.
The petition reads:
“We, the undersigned, ask that out of respect of the New Haven community, which is experiencing a great deal of grief as a result of the Trayvon Martin verdict, you cancel the Ted Nugent show scheduled for August 6th… We understand that you may consider this a First Amendment issue, and while Mr. Nugent has a right to his speech that right does not require that he do so here.”

2700 people signed an online petition because it’s easy not to get off your ass, but I see only a couple dozen actually protesting.
It may have, at one time — but given how the cops are acting nowadays I think even normal people are justified in not wanting to call cops.

Actually, Zimmerman was on the non-911 phone number talking to the dispatcher and trying to figure out where Trayvon just disappeared. It was about then that the dispatcher (Noffke) asked him in which direction Martin was running. Zimmerman, not knowing the answer to that question gets out of his truck and starts hurriedly looking for him. The dispatcher asked Zimmerman “Are you following him?” I suspect at that time, Trayvon disappeared into his father’s girlfriend’s place to dispose of his recently purchased drugs. “OK, we don’t need you to do that.” It was that time that Zimmerman returned to his car. Just at that time he confronts Trayvon who was ready to play Knockout King.
There have got to be some professional protesters out there.

I worked with a woman many years ago who said her nephew was a paid protestor and was moved around the country when needed. IIRC, we were talking about the protests in Seattle back in the 2000’s. Sorry, can’t recall year.
The PC folks who still count on the gov't to "save" them are still strangely quiet on why Trayvon didn't involve the cops when being followed by a creepy ass cracker.
Tell me where did this violent throwing of tables occur? That man is lucky that no one put a bullet in him.
He’ll be in Portland, ME on the 12th; planned protests unknown as of this time, but Portland has more than its share of lib-loons. I intend to hang around the Asylum (club) where he’s playing with my video cam. It’ll be worth a few Gb, I’m sure.
For some time I have been convinced that union members are paid to protest. I am also sure that college students are given class credit to protest. It also seems like there are an awful lot of people out there that appear prime candidates for getting government benefits, welfare and the like.
I can’t prove any of this, but it sure sticks in my craw the things I’ve seen out there.

The signs with “ANSWER” and “PSL” are those of the Workers World Party, a once Trotskyite party turned Stalinist (they love Kim Mentally Ill Jong and family of No. Korea).

Ask the local newspapers in New Haven (YEAH< RIGHT), why they don’t find out who the organizations listed on the signs are , really are.
Don’t expect any answer (ANSWER) from them. New Haven papers are so far left that the Communist Party supports them (New Haven reds and Rep. Laura de Rosa or whoever are buddy buddies. See www.keywiki.org, under Communist Party of Connecticut, New Haven, Joelle Fishman, Rep. De Rosa or what ever her name is).
Only the left is allowed free speech.

I just gave you an example of a paid protestor in post #69. Yes, some are paid ergo they “go out and protest”.
