A statement issued Tuesday says the department has ordered the departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel from Yemen "due to the continued potential for terrorist attacks."
The travel warning says U.S. citizens currently in Yemen should depart and calls the security threat level in Yemen "extremely high."
A U.S. intelligence official and a Mideast diplomat told The Associated Press that the current shutdown was instigated by an intercepted secret message between al-Qaida chief Ayman al-Zawahri and his deputy in Yemen about plans for a major terror attack.
Britain's Foreign Office says it has evacuated all staff from its embassy in Yemen due to increased security concerns.

Obama: Oh, then you did vote for me. Great. You can of course call me Dear Leader. I would like to offer you the new opening as Ambassador to the country of Yemen.
Mr. Jones: YEMEN??!?!?! Are you crazy??? No thanks. I am happy right where I am, operating my garbage truck here on the south side of Chicago. (hangs up phone)
Obama: Hello? Mr. Jones?? Hello?
Secretary: Did he hang up?
Obama: Yes. How many does that make? Secretary: That is 1,545 so far.
Obama: Well, who is next?

But today we need to concentrate our resources, for example, by shutting down our facilities in Burkino Faso and building up our capabilities in places like Egypt, where a few more operatives might have been enough to detect at least one of the two major revolutions that took place there in the past three years before they began and we still could have done something to prevent them.
or let the Blue Angels and T-birds resume touring.
Thanks EBH.
